Massive Recalls For Volkswagen, Honda And Chrysler
Chrysler, Volkswagen and Honda will make important recalls in the next period. While the problems of those from VW and Chrysler are more dangerous for users, the guys from Honda have a large number of involved units.
Volkswagen, Honda and Chrysler have announced today, recalls that affecting nearly two million units. The guys from Volkswagen will make a recall for Beetle and Jetta models, while Chrysler recall into service the Town and Country and Dodge Grand models. The Japanese from Honda have the largest recall from today, with 1.35 million Jazz units globally. Unlike the Volkswagen and Chrysler’s recall, the recall of the guys from Honda is globally, which justifies the large number of involved units.
VOLKSWAGEN
The automaker from Wolfsburg will recall 377,286 units in United States because of problems with the fuel system. In the case of the models like Jetta, Jetta SportWagen, Golf, Rabbit, New Beetle and New Beetle Convertible, the fuel line could be excessive tense in some moments and could break, causing a fuel leak and a potential fire. The respectively recall is voluntary and not was instigated by a problem encountered by a Volkswagen customer, the Germans said that the problem was discovered in-house and is caused by a plastic element from the windshield fluid reservoir, which could rub by the fuel hose and could produce a fuel leak. The problem affects Jetta ,Golf and Rabbit models produced between 2007 and 2009, and New Beetle models produced between 2006 and 2010.

HONDA
The Honda officials announced that they will recall 1.35 million Fit units(Jazz in Europe market) to repair the headlight wiring. According to the guys from Honda, the models with problems were assembled at the Suzuka factory between November 2001 and October 2007. About 735,000 units are recalled on the Japan market, where the Jazz model is the second model in popularity after Toyota Prius, excluding the mini cars with 0.6-liters engines. The Honda’s recall will cost $ 42 million and will have a “negligible” impact on the Japanese automaker earnings, said the Honda spokesman.
CHRYSLER
Chrysler will recall in service 367,000 Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan models. The problem of these models is located at the installation of air conditioning, whose condensation can flow and produce an error in the airbags system.
