SYNC AppLink – New Ford Fiesta 2011 Smartcar

The first car that will implement the new system of Internet applications will be the 2011 Ford Fiesta. The system will allow you to listen to your favorite radio directly from the Internet or your car to “read” you tweets.

SYNC communications and entertainment system developed by Microsoft and Ford launched several models of 2008, will be added a new feature. AppLink will take voice commands that can control the mobile applications for Android and BlackBerry platforms.

Initially only three applications will be supported, Pandora, Stitcher and OpenBeak, the latter being an application for Twitter. The iPhone will not be left out, as the support for its applications will be introduced later.

To control your mobile applications with your voice you have to meet several conditions, first you must buy the Ford Fiesta with the SYNC optional, and the respective applications will have to feature support for AppLink.
