Skoda Superb Gets 1.6 TDI Engine
Superb,the flagship of Skoda gained more efficiency by replacing the old 1.9 TDI engine with a small one of just 1.6 liters.
Skoda Superb, the Czech limo, trow the old 1.9 TDI engine and take a new one of only 1.6 liters. This engine seems very small for a car that measured from a spoiler to another over 4.80 meters. But in fact things aren’t different, because the power has not changed at Skoda Superb, 1.6 TDI model also developing 105 hp and a torque of 250 Nm.
The common rail engine is only available with a five reports manual box with and if dynamic would not delight, the bigest win comes from economic and environmental aspect. Thus, the carbon dioxide emissions consistently go down around 20 g / km, the sedan having a value of 130 g / km, and two volume version boasts emissions of 133 g / km, thing which is admirable for a car weighing around 1.5 tons. The large weight is reflected in performance that are modest, but unchanged. So to reach 60 mph Skoda Superb 1.6 TDI CR require 12.5 seconds (12.6 for Combi). This engine has been initially presented for the English Market but perhaps shrtly will be notified the rest the markets.
