Michael Schumacher says he felt like he made his debut in Formula 1 after he tested for the first time a Mercedes GP F1 car in Valencia.
The seven times world champion was the headline of the first day of testing on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, officially returning at the wheel of a F1 car after an absence of three seasons.
The German impressed from the start and finished the day 3rd, just four tenths of a second behaind the leader, Felipe Massa. Referring to his physical condition, Schumacher says he feels young again comparing the Valencia test with his Formula 1 debut in 1991.

It seems that the seven times world Formula One champion can’t stay too far from the track an the adrenaline for too long. After the the German signed a three year contract with Mercedes GP at the end of the last year, it is said that Michael Schumacher is ready to get back on the wheel of a race car this week.
Starting Tuesday, the German will test, for three days, Supernova GP2 car of the Supernova team on the Jerez circuit in Spain, the information being confirmed by Schumacher’s spokesman for Autosport. According to German press, the test have already been approved by FIA and will have a private character.
