Mark Webber will use a lighter chassis in the Australian Grand Prix.
Mark Webber has revealed that, in the race in Melbourne, will use a new chassis, which will be built by the engineers from Milton Kynes and will have a lower weight than the chassis used in Bahrain at the end of last week. The idea of a lighter chassis itself belonged to the Australian pilot who convinced Red Bull F1 Team engineers to develop such a solution.
“I was talking to my mechanics last night and they have got a brand new car for me. I have got a new chassis for this event, it’s even lighter, making sure we make even more progress to go towards the front,” said the 33 years old pilot for the Australian press.

According to the new F1 technical regulations, the minimum weight of a F1 car for this season was increased from 1334 to 1367 pounds. A

Bernie Ecclestone says the Formula 1 regulations will remain unchanged this season, any further amendments being applied next year.
After many criticisms coming from the pilots and fans regarding the acute lack of performance in the Grand Prix of Bahrain State, several teams showed their intention to introduce changes to regulation this year. But their hopes were destroyed by Bernie Ecclestone, who revealed that it is unlikely that the rules be amended during this season because of the democratic vote of the teams.
“We cannot change the rules. It would take far too long and it is too difficult. F1 is now a democracy and all the teams voted for these rules, so now they must also deal with them,” the 79 years old Brit said for the German publication Bild.

According to statute, any change in regulation for the current season must be approved by all teams in Formula 1 and then sent for ratification

Red Bull Racing has released the first official photos with new RB6 F1 car which, they hope, to help them fight for world title in 2010.
Red Bull Racing has become Wednesday morning the last of the current Formula 1 teams to present the new single car for this year’s Formula 1 season.
After missing the first session of testing at Valencia in order to give their engineers more time to develop the car, the Austrian team presented the first official photos of the new F1 car with only a few minutes before it could make his debut at the Jerez circuit.
As we all anticipated, the new RB6 has a very high nose and represents an even more radical version of the concept introduced in 2009 and copied this year by most of the teams in competition. The long engine casing is not missing an it is extended to near the rear

Just like we told you on November 28th, Kimi Raikkonen was close to a deal with Citroen WRC. Now, it’s official: Kimi Raikkonen will drive the Citroen WRC in 2010, starting in 12 rounds of the World Rally Championship.
We were saying that Kimi and Sebastian Loeb will team up, but it seems that things are not like this. Raikkonen signed with Citroen’s second squad, the Junior World Rally Team, where he will meet his co-driver Kaj Lindstrom – who co-drove Tommi Makinen. Anyway this would not be the first time the two meet, as the two Finns raced last year in WRC Neste Oil Rally of Finland in a Abarth Grande Punto S200.
Even though Junior World Rally Team sound a bit… errr “junior” thing are a not so easily taken, as the new formed team will only miss the New Zealand Rally.

“I always wanted to compete in rally, especially in the World Rally Championship,” said

We all heard the rumors that Kimi Raikkonen will not hold the steering wheel in his hands in 2010
and almost all of us had the same opinion: “what a waste of talent!” But it seems we were all wrong. It seems that after all Raikkonen will race next year, but it will not be a Formula 1 monopost. He will drive a Citroen in the World Rally Championship.
They say that Ferrari and Kimi had a deal, the Fin was getting $25 million just to sit out in the upcoming Formula 1 season, with a clause saying that Raikkonen will only get $18 million from Ferrrai if it is to sign for another team.
Anyway someone close to the former Formula One driver told wrc.com that Kimi Raikkonen is close to a deal with the Citroen Total World Rally Team, who’s main sponsor is Red Bull, and also the personal sponsor of the Fin, so it seems
