Kimi Räikkönen could return to Formula 1 in 2011 at the wheel of a seater Red Bull F1 car. The Austrian company officials believe that this idea is “at least interesting.”
The officials of the company that produces the Red Bull energy drink admit that the idea of Kimi Raikkonen’s return to Formula 1 next season under the colors of the team patronized by Dieter Mateschitz is “at least interesting”. The claim belongs to Helmut Marko, Mateschitz’s advisor on motorsport subjects.
“He (Raikkonen) has a contract with Red Bull, so let’s wait and see how this develops. We have a large Red Bull family, so there are many options. We will have to see how he goes in rallying and what he wants to do, but the idea is at least interesting,” the Red Bull official declared.

Just like we told you on November 28th, Kimi Raikkonen was close to a deal with Citroen WRC. Now, it’s official: Kimi Raikkonen will drive the Citroen WRC in 2010, starting in 12 rounds of the World Rally Championship.
We were saying that Kimi and Sebastian Loeb will team up, but it seems that things are not like this. Raikkonen signed with Citroen’s second squad, the Junior World Rally Team, where he will meet his co-driver Kaj Lindstrom – who co-drove Tommi Makinen. Anyway this would not be the first time the two meet, as the two Finns raced last year in WRC Neste Oil Rally of Finland in a Abarth Grande Punto S200.
Even though Junior World Rally Team sound a bit… errr “junior” thing are a not so easily taken, as the new formed team will only miss the New Zealand Rally.

They say that Ferrari and Kimi had a deal, the Fin was getting $25 million just to sit out in the upcoming Formula 1 season, with a clause saying that Raikkonen will only get $18 million from Ferrrai if it is to sign for another team.
Anyway someone close to the former Formula One driver told wrc.com that Kimi Raikkonen is close to a deal with the Citroen Total World Rally Team, who’s main sponsor is Red Bull, and also the personal sponsor of the Fin, so it seems
