Nissan Leaf, The First Affordable Electric Model In The World
Nissan will launch in Japan the new Leaf, first electrical model in the world with an affordable price. The car will cost up to $40,000 and will enter the showrooms in December.
The first 100% electric car, Nissan Leaf model, will be officially launched in on Japan market in December this year.The starting price will be around 3.76 million yen (about 40,000 dollars), but will fall by around the amount of 30,000 dollars after the reduction the Japanese government will give each client oriented on a model of this type. Moreover, for lower acquisition costs, Nissan will set up a system whereby customers can pay at first only $26,000 for a car without batteries included, following the remaining amount to be paid in monthly installments of $100, including the cost of the batteries. Nissan Leaf will thus become the first electric car available for mass audiences.

According to Japanese company statements, initial estimates show that the total cost of using the Leaf’s are eight times lower than those it has to cover an owner of a heat engine car. Nissan Leaf has an autonomy of 100 miles with a single charge, and can reach the speed of 86 mph . A full charge will be made through normal outlets in about 8 hours, the alternative being a chain of special “feeders” in which tew car can be powered at 80% capacity in 30 minutes.
Nissan will install on the entire territory of Japan about 2,200 charging points for Leaf , the priority is their location in the courts of the Japanese manufacturer’s dealers. Customers who can install a charging point in their yard can opt for this solution, Nissan ensuring its construction.
After the world premiere will be in Japan, Nissan Leaf will come to America.
