Michael Schumacher And Nico Rosberg Unveil New Mercedes SLK
Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg presented the new Mercedes SLK at the event that celebrated the 125th anniversary of the first car in the world.
In the special event that celebrated the 125th anniversary of the first car in the world, Mercedes-Benz presented the new SLK. The model was unveiled by Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg alongside the designers who created it.
The elements of this model include special design inspired by SLS AMG, the electromagnetic glazed hard-top roof panel and also the interior inspired from SLS AMG. The German model is offered in the company of three gasoline engines and with a twin turbo 2.1-liters diesel unit that develops 205 HP.

In the future, Mercedes-Benz will offer also a AMG version for new SLK, which will be equipped with a V8 engine and 428 HP. Until then, the top range will be a V6 engine with direct-injection that will deliver 305 HP. Together with a seven-speed automatic gearbox, the model accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds. The entry-level version is equipped with a 1.8-liter gasoline engine that provides 185 HP. The mid-range gasoline model offers 205 HP and uses the same 1.8-liter engine. In the 185 HP version, equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is achieved in 7 seconds.
The public debut of this roadster will be at Geneva Auto Show. Mercedes-Benz is the last of the German premium trio that launched its new generation of roadsters.
