The Chinese To Develop A Car Cheaper Than Tata Nano

The rating of the cheapest cars in the world will change radically once again, after the Chinese from Zotye will get on the market  a model that will cost with $500 less than Tata Nano.

After the Indians were able to break the intern market after the launch of Nano, which then became the world’s cheapest car, the Chinese want to attack the official title held by the Indian model.

The company that wants to produce the model is Zotye Holding Group, the owner of JiangNan and Zoyte auto brands, announced that it will build a sedan that will replace Tata Nano. The new model will be built on an existing platform, so that the total costs are reduced. According to the Chinese publication Gasgoo, Zotye will produce its new model’s on the JianNan Alto platform, a small model launched in China in 2007.

Although currently there are no technical details about the Chinese model, we know that the basic model, JiagNan Alto, has two engines: one of 0.8-liters and 37 HP, the other of 1.1-liters and 44 HP. Most likely, the new model will have a recalibrated version of the 800 cubic centimeters unit.

With regard to price of the new model, is supposed that it will revolve around the amount of $ 2500-2800. The cheapest version of the Tata Nano costs at this time about $ 3000.
