New Lamborghini Jota Features 700 HP And Hits 60 Mph In 2.9 Seconds
If you tagged Lamborghini Murcielago LP67-4 SuperVeloce extreme, than you should take a look at the numbers the new supercar of the Italians brags about, known under the name of Jota. And for everything to be as exciting as possible, the specs are as official as possible!
The flag ship of the Sant’Agata Bolognese was presented at the end of the last week in Singapore, and so the occurrence of new informations was almost inevitable. Unfortunately, the looks of the future supercar is still a mystery for us, just like the official name – the Italians have introduced the model under the code name of LP700-4 a combination that might also be included in the official name.
Returning to the technical specs, the driving train of the new Lamborghini Jota have leaked: a 12 cylinders engine, with a displacement of 6.5-liters, developing not less than 700 HP at 8,250 rpm and 509 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm, and the power will be sent to all four wheels (Haldex four wheel drive system) by a sequential seven-gears transmission. Even so, the single-clutch gearbox manages to shift in about 50 ms, the Italian supercar enjoying a 0 to 60 mph acceleration in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of over 215 mph.
And that’s not all! More than that, the New Lamborghini Jota (or however will be called) will benefit from a monocoque carbon fiber chassis, the total weight dropping to about 3,100 lbs (500 lbs lighter than Murcielago LP640)
Regarding the looks, Lamborghini Jota will stand out with a four muffler tips exhaust system, 19 and 20 inch rims, LED headlights, Estoque inspired taillights, and not last a “hunchbacked” roof, specific to the Zagato models. The new Italian supercar will debut next spring, at Geneva Motor Show.
