LA Show 2010: Nissan Murano CrossoverCabriolet – When Impossible Is Possible!
This car came from far, far away. Where from? It doesn’t matter, but we new it’s going to come. The Japanese of Nissan said they will bring a convertible version of their Murano model a few months ago and it seems they did so. Now meet the new Nissan Murano CrossCabrilot, the first four-wheel drive convertible crossover in the world!
When Nissan said they are working on a convertible version of their Murano crossover, the whole automotive industry was hit by a big question mark: “Is something like this possible?” It looks that the answer was not too long awaited and with the premiere of Murano CrossoverCabriolet at Los Angeles Auto Show 2010, had the premiere the world’s first crossover convertible which transforms the impossible in possible.

Probably everyone waited for a model like Mercedes G-Class Cabriolet, but the new Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet makes us imagine things. A crossover with a fabric retractable roof, is not something you see everyday! And for becoming world’s first crossover convertible, Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet had to lose two of its doors, a stiffer body, and of course, a pair of roll-bars to protect the passengers from unwanted accidents.
Under the hood, the “World’s First AWD Crossover Convertible” - like Nissan likes to name their latest creation – a 3.5-liter V6 engine is hid, developing 265 HP and 248 lb-ft of torque. The four-wheel drive and the Xtronic CVT gearbox completes the package, and the new Nissan CrossCabriolet is ready to hit the US public roads starting next year.
