Ferrari will introduce a streamlined update for the Singapore Grand Prix aiming to keep Fernando Alonso in the fight for world title.

Fernando Alonso returned to fight for world title after victory obtained at Monza on Sunday, but has to recover 21 points to become the leader in the overall standings.

To achieve this, Ferrari has announced the introduction of a new aerodynamic updates for the Singapore race at the end of next week.

“This result means that the fight for the title is completely open and if the team can achieve perfect performance in five races, then a dream can become reality. However, to achieve this, we can not rest on our laurels, even for one second . In fact, we need more concentration. F10 proved to be a competitive single user on a circuit like Monza and a new package, especially wind, is expected to race at Singapiore, where we hope to return again victorious ” stated a press release of the Scuderia Ferrari.

If at the pilots standings title chances are realistic , the same is not true in the fight for the trophy dedicated to manufacturers.  Ferrari is on third place and has a deficit of 60 points against Red Bull Racing and 57 points over McLaren.

Mayor of Rome announced that the Italian city to host a race on a street circuit starting in 2012  seasonor latest in 2013.

Rome chances to enter in  the competitive schedule in the near future remain very high, according to statements made by Italy’s mayor, Gianni Alemanno.

In an interview with television channel RAI UNO, Alemanno has revealed that it has reached an agreement with Bernie Ecclestone, the commercial rights holder of the competition, that  this race to be  included in the calendar no later than 2012 or 2013.

“Since 2012 or 2013 at the latest in a Grand Prix will take place in Rome. This will be the second race in Italy, at Monza for the guaranteed”  he said referring to the fact that Monza will host the Italian Grand Prix until at least 2016 .

The organizers have already developed a plan for a street circuit in downtown, but remain chances  that this would  be abandoned in favor of a new circuit located in the EUR district.

“There are issues that must reach agreement with the EUR district residents. We have an international agreement. There is no guarantee, but promises are very strong,”  he also said.

Lewis Hamilton hoping to win the Belgian Grand Prix, and his optimism is supported by team-mate Jenson Button.

At the end of the race at the Hungaroring the first day of August, Hamilton expressed his concern about the advance made by Red Bull Racing in relation to F1 car. British returned after this summer  break but more optimistic  and claims that it is prepared to fight for victory, especially as Spa-Francorcamps  is one of his favorite circuits.

“This year we go to Spa after disappointing early in Hungary. We investigated the causes, I think I found reasons (No. – technical) and we are confident that should not happen again. Personally, I think Spa is one of the great F1 circuit and I would be thrilled to win. I will return to the full force hunting in Belgium and would be great to bring home another victory at the end of the weekend, ” said world champion of the 2008 season.

At his  turn, Jenson Button has expressed the hope that the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps and Monza better fit with MP4-25 features F1 car, the reason why is watching   with confidence the next two race.

“We arrive in Belgium, knowing that it must recover lost ground. I had a good race in Hungary and the whole team wants to return quickly in front. We are optimistic that the clarifying regulation (No. – the flexible front wings) will approach the top teams and Spa and Monza should suit our package better than the Hungaroring, ” explained the Englishman.

On the other hand,  Button anticipated that  McLaren will not be able to maintain high rate of new updates, which is why believe that the results of the next two races will be important in the fight for the title.

“I think these two European races will be crucial in the fight for the title, but will be more difficult to introduce significant updates in recent races, so it is important to gain more points in both events,” he added.
