Alonso Won The Korean Grand Prix

Fernando Alonso won at Yeongam and became the F1 leader, after Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel abandoned in a race postponed by an hour due the rain.

Fernando Alonso became Sunday the first driver who won in South Korea, at the end of a race that began on lap 18 because the rain and low visibility, with an hour delay to the official program after the Safety Car left the runway.

The Spanish victory was decisive facilitated by the abandonment suffered by Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, after Mark Webber lose the control on lap 19 and Sebastian Vettel suffered an engine failure with only 9 laps before the final. The Ferrari driver took advantage of the disaster of Red Bull to take the lead in the overall standings and was completed on the podium by Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) and his teammate Felipe Massa.

Michael Schumacher has equaled the best performance of the season after finishing 4th in front of Robert Kubica (Renault) and Vitantonio Liuzzi, Force India managed to keep the final in 6th place in the rankings after being passed in the last laps two drivers of the Williams team, Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hulkenberg, faced with tire problems. BMW-Sauber scored by both drivers having finished on 8 and 9 by Kamui Kobayashi and Nick Heidfeld, while the last point was taken by Hulkenberg.

Jenson Button missed the chance to finish in the points after having taken a wrong strategy, entering to the pits too early with only a few minutes before the Safety Car comes on the track following an incident. The British finally took only 12th place.
