Hyundai revealed the first official pictures of their i40 model, the car that will start the fight with WV Passat and Opel Insignia in Europe. For now, we only saw the estate version.

Hyundai reveled today the first official pictures of the new i40 estate. Both i40 CW, and i40 sedan will have their debuts at Geneva Motor Show 2011 and will be the main rival of the Volkswagen Passat, Opel Insignia, Citroen C5 or the new Peugeot 508.

Until now, Hyundai only presented a series of sketches of their new model, but now the gallery shows us the first real pictures of the new South-Korean model. The new 2011 Hyundai i40 shocks when it comes to design with its fluid lines and so different of Sonata’s, borrowing some of the design lines introduced by the compact SUV Hyundai ix36.

Rumor has it that the new Hyundai i40 2011 will be powered by four engines: tow petrol engines (1.6-liter GDI of 135 HP and 2.0-liter GDI of 177 HP) and two diesel engines (1.7-liter of 115 HP/260 Nm and 1.7-liter of 136 HP/325 Nm). The two powerful diesel and petrol versions can be ordered with a standard six-gears transmission or with an automatic one.

The interesting thing is that Hyundai can boast about the engine with the lowest CO2 emissions in its class, the 115 HP diesel unit equipped with Stop&Start system managing get 113 g / km and an average fuel consumption of 4.3 liters/100 km.

Hyundai Veloster had its world premiere at Detroit Auto Show 2011. The new model comes with a bold design, wanting to step on Coupe’s trails.

After Hyundai tortured the public with a series of teaser and a lot of spy shots, the Korean automaker have unveiled today the first pictures of the new Veloster, a coupe that everyone expects both in US and Europe. Hyundai Veloster is 166 inches long and 70 inches wide and can boast about a total weight of only 2,584 lbs.

Although some criticized Hyundai for the design of some of their models currently in their line-up, it seems that this time the Koreans tried something new and bold. The designers draw a completely unusual line fore the rear of Hyundai Veloster, where the glass roof and the small rear window are a whole.

The frontal look of Hyundai Veloster impresses by the lines of the headlights but also by the a lot more aggressive front bumper. Of course the traditional front grill is there, reminding us that Veloster is a Hyundai. But the details that attracted us are the nice spoiler with incorporated brake light, the twin trapezoidal exhaust and the rear diffuser.

The doors opening system is also innovative. Hyundai Veloster comes with only one rear door, on the right side, with a classical opening system, and not suicide of for Mazda RX-8 and Mini Clubman. The aesthetic package is completed by many types of rims, of 17 and 18 inches.

The sporty looks of Hyundai Veloster’s body has not a worthy match under the hood, the Koreans installing for the beginning a 1.6-liter engine developing 140 HP. The freshly developed engine features direct injection and is capable of offering 123 lb-ft of torque at 4,850 rpm. The bright side is that the Korean automaker announces a highway fuel mileage of 39 mpg.

The new Hyundai Veloster will introduce to hew double-clutch DCT transmission, with six gears, which can include the manual gearbox that comes as stock.

The first infos announce a pretty accessible price for the new Hyundai Veloster. For the US market a price tag of under $20,000 is rumored, and for the European one, a price around 15,500 euros.

Hyundai will unveil at Detroit Auto Show a concept that is called Curb. The creation adopt completely new lines and promising to fight with the current Nissan Juke.

The Hyundai interest for Detroit Motor Show seems to exceed the initial speculation. The Korean automaker will exhibit at the American Auto Show, besides the already announced Veloster Coupe, also a novel concept, called Curb.

The information is officially confirmed by the first teasers of the prototype, which betrays its profile and the futuristic interior details.

The new Curb would be a mid-size crossover capable to fighting with the current Nissan Juke model, which has already made a great impact in Europe and in the United States. The Korean brand designers were aware by the charisma of the Japan rival, for which they made a series of unusual lines for the Hyundai models.

The Hyundai Curb concept will adopt a muscular design, with a quite small glazed surface and with generous wheel passages. More informations will be disclosed with the live release of the model at Detroit Auto Show. At that time, Hyundai will make public its intentions to produce in series the new Curb concept.

It seems that new Nissan Juke will have new rivals in the future and will must fight with them.

Hyundai presented first renderings of the coming Grandeur model. Besides this, the Koreans have also unveiled some infos about their new model.

Hyundai officials have released three pictures of their new executive car. Called Hyundai Grandeur in order to honor the tradition of the brand, the car is now presented in three renderings. The first generation of Grandeur debuted in South Korea in 1986 and was the first premium sedan coming from Hyundai. Just like the new creations of the Korean brand, Grandeur follows the Fluidic Sculpture philosophy. According to Hyundai, the model has a dynamic and refined look.

On some markets, the model will be sold under the name of Azera, but the look will be the same. The guys of Hyundai have not unveiled any infos about the engines range of the new Grandeur, but we expect it to include to the new GDI units and obey the Euro 5 regulations. Is likely Hyundai to integrate the ISG technology (Intellingent Stop&Go) and a KERS system an the new Grandeur.

Hyundai Grandeur already reached the fifth generation and was developed in the idea of harmony between state of the art technology and Hyundai brand tradition. The first Grandeur was boasting about an accessible price and a high level of the standard specs. The new model is wanted to be a veritable competitor on its segment, offering premium features and materials next to a modern and futuristic look. Hyundai Grandeur debut on the market was not yet announced.

Hyundai wants a premium brand, capable of attracting the European customers and steal some of Infiniti’s and Lexus’ customers. The first model of the Koreans might be the Hyundai Genesis coupe.

The success the Japanese rivals at Nissan and Toyota enjoy with their luxury divisions made a lot of automakers jealous, but also meant a new challenge for the other car builders in the premium segment. Now, it seems that Hyundai wants to launch a luxury division to rival Infiniti and Lexus, and the first step in this direction might be made in the next three years.

The Asian conglomerate wants a premium brand, capable of fighting the Japanese and bring a new range of models on the market. According to the first information, Hyundai plans to use the new division to launch the Genesis coupe on the Great Britain market and then all-over Europe.

The sporty model will test the public’s reaction on the Old Continent to the idea of a Korean luxury brand, preparing the field for other two important models. If the welcoming is warm, we could be able to see in the Hyundai premium range a mid-size sedan and also a full-size luxury car which will be the flag ship of the line-up, positioned in Lexus LS’ segment.

If everything goes as planned we would be able to see first premium South Korean cars on the European roads in 2013.

One of the most unusual collaborations from tuning range is centered around the guys from Hyundai and the Brabus engineers. The result: Hyundai i20 Sport Edition.

Although Brabus has accustomed us so far, mainly with applied package and sport kits applied to the models that Daimler group bring on the market , Paris Auto Show 2010 us a surprise in this regard. Thus, at the Brabus stand can be admired a Hyundai i20 Sport Edition tuned by BRABUS, the Korean model received a new front face and a new interior from the famous German tuner.

If Hyundai i20 has received at exterior a new face that includes head lights, spotlights, grille and windows changed, but also the 17-inch wheels with Yokohama tires, the interior was completely changed, only the logo on the steering wheel reminded us that we look to a Hyundai interior. The ambience is dominated by gray and orange. Appear Recaro bi-color seats covered with leather, the same material now covering the inside of the doors, the dashboard, the steering wheel, the shift handles and the hand brake. On the other hand, the roof is covered with Alcantara leather. The cherry on the cake is the appearance of a 7-inch display with touch-screen.

Brabus has not yet provided any information regarding the characteristics of the new Hyundai i20 Sport Edition engine. The model will be available for sale in 2011 and will be produced in limited edition.

Koreans from Hyundai will present a new concept at the Paris Motor Show. This is called ix20, was designed entirely in Europe and its a B-segment MPV.

Hyundai will present at the Paris Motor Show the ix20 concept . The model envisaged an MPV subcompact class, presenting sculpture fluidic design language. Most likely, we are talking about the Hyundai version of   Kia Venge. As in the case of ix35 the model was designed and developed at the center in Russelsheim, and production will be achieved in Europe. Modelul primeşte litera x în denumire deoarece Hyundai utilizează acest prefix pentru a nota crossoverele. Model receives  x letter because Hyundai uses this name as a prefix to denote crossover.

Hyundai ix20 Concept For Paris Auto Show

For now, the only image that prefigure the new model captures a draft of the concept that will debut at the Paris Motor Show. Those of Hyundai describe this model as having “a dynamic design that combines fluidic sculpture  philosophy with   functionality and pleasure to drive.” Most likely, the new model will be cheaper than Kia Venge  and will try to attract customers with more dynamic image.

Although  information about engines doesn’t exist, they will have a stop-start system. All Hyundai ix20 models will benefit from the program  Hyundai Triple Care for a period of five years.  It remains to wait the debut in Paris  to find more information about this new model of South Korean automaker.  The first information announces an commercial debut  prepared for November 2010.

Hyundai will present at Moscow Auto Show the RB concept, which prefigures a subcompact sedan. Is this “new Accent”?

Hyundai will present a new concept at the Moscow Auto Show. The concept is called RB and shows the lines of a family subcompact sedan. Given the destination of the model that will come out from this concept, we can say that we talk about “Accent’s replacement”, or at least a subcompact sedan for emerging markets. As you can see, this concept is closely fluidic design language of the sculpture from Hyundai and already has some elements that seem to be ready for production.

If Hyundai will launch a model on the market with a similar design like RB concept, the Koreans will have one of the most attractive models of subcompact segment. The production version of Hyundai RB will be equipped with Gamma engines, which will have a displacement of 1.4-liters and respectively 1.6-liter and will have multiport fuel injection and continuously variable distribution, CVVT type. New Generation of Gamma engine promises extra torque and extra power compared with the previous generation, with a top level of fuel consumption and emissions in small segment.

The first information reports a power of 124 HP for 1.6-liter Gamma engine and a torque of 115 lb-ft. The 1.4-liter units will deliver 107 HP and 100 lb-ft. These values are valid for the Russian market, and these engines will be offered with an automatic gearbox with four reports, either with a manual gearbox with five reports.

The final production of the final version of RB Concept will debut in January 2011 at the Hyundai factory in St. Petersburg. Hyundai will receive the new model in spring next year, which means that the changes from the concept to the production version should be minimal.

Hyundai officials have denied reports which refers to  the serial version’s Veloster concept will be launched in the Los Angeles Auto Show.

This week there were some rommors  the South Koreans from Hyundai  are preparing the launch of Veloster VW Scirocco rival this year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The reaction of the  Hyundai officials  was not waited too long, they denying the rumors emerged in the press.

Also, South Korean  automaker representatives have not announced the date on which we can see on the stage the series version of the concept Veloster . Veloster concept was first admired at the Paris Motor Show in  2008.

Its series version  will replace on the Europe market the Coupé model  and the former Tiburon from  U.S..  The Asian propose a different look than its predecessor, with lines already found in the design philosophy of the South Korean brand.  The absolute novelty will be represented by the uneven drawing of the doors, one of them being longer than the other, to facilitate the access in interior.

The South Korean coupe will hide under the hood a 1.4-liter engine  that produces 170 HP, and its top version will have an aggregate of 1.6 liters engine able to develop 200 HP.

What we know for sure is that Volkswagen Scirocco has a new rival.

Hyunday intensely preparing for this year’s edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The South Koreans want to expose to the American public the series version of the acclaimed Veloster concept, presented two years ago at the Paris Auto Show.

The model with three-doors comes to replace the Coupe model on the Old Continent and Tiburon in United States. The Asian propose a different look than its predecessor, with lines already found in the design philosophy of the South Korean brand. The absolute novelty will be represented by the uneven drawing of the doors, one of them being longer than the other, to facilitate the access in interior.

Hyundai has big plans for Veloster, the coupe followed to target the customer of a European model, which already enjoys a huge capital of image: Volkswagen Scirocco. To fight with the German, Hyundai will be introduced under the hood of it’s coupe a 1.4-liter engine and 170 HP, but a top range of 1.6-liters and 200 HP, equipped with direct injection.

It seems that the German model should defend their territory and fight on the European market with a new rival.
