Hispania Racing might merge with Epsilon Euskadi in the 2011 season, in case that the last will not be accepted on the starting grid.

Epsilon Euskadi is one of the favorites to fill the last place on the grid available for the 2011 season, but he must convince  FIA that has better resources than Steven GP, and, especially, Durango, which recently teamed with former world champion Jacques Villeneuve.

Aware that the entry process in the Great Circus is not assured at this point, the Spanish team consider a merger with Hispania Racing worst team in season 2010.

According to information disclosed by EFE news agency ,Joan Villadelprat , head of the Epsilon Euskad team, recently met with Hispania owner Jose Ramon Caraba  , to discuss details of a possible merger.

Speculation are strengthened by the fact that Hispania Racing dropped Dallara manufacturer  contract and it  must achieve for their own the  F1 car for next year, while the Epsilon Euskadi has impressive facilities at the factory that holds in Spain.  The only obstacle remains the financial one, as HispaniaRacing has financial problems, while the Epsilon Euskadi still failed to attract sufficient funds for possible participation in Formula 1.

If they do not merge, it is very difficult to see how both teams could possibly make it beyond 2011.
