Ferrari To Produce A Four-Door Coupe
Italian manufacturer Ferrari could produce a competitor for the Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera or Lamborghini Estoque.
Several months ago we announced that Ferrari will never produce a four-door model to compete with the Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera or Lamborghini Estoque. Caradisiac French publication claims that Italian officials take into account the choice of models and a four-door coupe would be the next moving.
The design has a flat rear deck area and a chiselled appearance, adopting a sort of cab-forward interpretation that hints at a front-engine layout. An egg-grate grille and front intakes as well as the elevated center portion of the car’s front end are distinct features, as are the odd semi-rectangular headlights. No powertrain specifications have been given.
The Future Italian model might have on his base the current Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. This model has been released in 2004 and Ferrari officials want to withdraw from the market in 2012. Large space offered by 612 Scaglietti’s interior, could be the starting point for developing a four-door coupe.
Whether or not Ferrari actually builds a four-door model remains to be seen, but with its closest rival Lamborghini well on its way to building a saloon there’s no knowing what Ferrari has planned.
