Ferrari has started developing a new chassis for the F10 car to include a new version for the double-diffuser and a more efficient cooling system.
The international press speculated since January that Ferrari is working on a “B” version for the F10 and the information is now strengthened by the Italian publication Autosprint. Cited source revealed a number of unpublished information about plans of Scuderia for the first part of this year, which obviously were not confirmed by the Italian team.
Thus, Ferrari hired, at the end of last year, Giuseppe Azzollini, a distinguished engineer who worked within the CFD Department (Computational Fluid Dynamics) of Toyota Racing. The Italian has joined the team in order to develop a new version of the double diffuser of the Ferrari F1 car, but it is not compatible with current design of the F10.

The debut of the new Formula 1 season was awaited with great interest by the motorsport enthusiasts, but the first stage of 2010 was rather dull, the overcoming being realized almost only by the drivers at the bottom of the hierarchy. “Overtaking was basically impossible unless somebody made a mistake,” said Michael Schumacher. FIA changed the rules many times, but the result is the same: they lost the dynamism of the show.
Regulation in force was criticized by the four world champions currently competing in the Big Circus (Schumacher, Alonso, Hamilton and Button), they feel that refueling would increased dynamism of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, BBC informs.

Valentino Rossi drove in a test session with Kimi Raikkonen’s F1 car, Ferrari F2008, and was just two tenths of seconds to beat his record.
It seems that Valentino Rossi is a serious candidate for Formula 1, a week ago testing on the Catalunya circuit for Ferrari. According to the New York Times, Rossi’s performance on four wheels was unexpectedly good, Rossi managing, at the steering wheel of Kimi Raikkonen’s last year Ferrari F2008 F1 car, to achieve time of 1:21.9. The time is only 2 tenths of seconds behind than Kimi’s record on the same circuit.

Ferrari has unveiled Wednesday the full program launch event for the new 2010 F1 car, which will be fully broadcast on the Internet.
Ferrari makes last minute preparations for the launching of the new Scuderia F1 car, which will take place in Maranello on January 28 starting at 11:30 (GMT). The Italians announced that the whole event, which will include a few laps on the Fiorano circuit, will be broadcast live on its website.
Thus, the launch of the Prancing Horse’s F2 car and the disclosure of his name would be held at 11:30 and will be followed by a press conference at which ill participate boss Stefano Domenicali, president Luca di Montezemolo and the two pilots of the team, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.

Pierro Ferrari believes that Michael Schumacher has not betrayed the team that helped him won 5 world titles when he decided to return to Mercedes Formula 1 GP.
Michael Schumacher has confirmed just two days before Christmas that he will return to Formula 1 season in 2010, planning to compete for the new Mercedes GP team.
