NASCAR legend Jack Roush was piloting his company’s Raytheon/Beechcraft Premier mid-size  jet when things got out of control on the approach to Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This happened last night and led to the pilot’s second plane crash.

What exactly happened is yet to be publicly, and clearly, explained by the Police. According to reports, Roush’s plane appeared to come in too low on landing approach, and a last-second correction caused the plane’s nose to dip and touch the ground, catching a huge mass of air under the plane and adding turbulence to the contact shock.

There were only two passengers, and both are alive at the moment. On impact, the plane spun around and the tale section separated from the rest of the aircraft. Both Roush and a female employee, Brenda K. Strickland, were able to walk away from the crash. The two victims sustained serious injuries, as can be imagined.

The other jet crash happened in 2002, when Jack Roush crash-landed a small craft into a pond in Alabama. Know by as the “The Cat in the Hat” and aged 68, the founder and CEO of the Roush Fenway Racing team was rushed to the nearest hospital and is receiving care with top priority. Roush is expected to make a full recovery, even though surgery might be called for.
