Dodge Viper will become safer and easier to handle once new generation debuts. The Dodge CEO announced that the model will have its own platform and engine.

Ralph Gilles, the new Dodge CEO, made a series of statements clarifying the future of Dodge Viper. Thereby, the model will be completely revised, and will not be based on another platform of the Fiat-Chrysler Group. So the rumors regarding a Dodge Viper based on Alfa Romeo 8C or any other model in the Alfa Romeo yard have been ruled out. Although he admitted that there are some similarities between Viper and Alfa Romeo 8C, the Dodge CEO underlined that the American model has an unique conformation, being among the few models these days having such a long hood and the cockpit located in the rear.

The engine of the 2012 Dodge Viper is not coming from Ferrari, but is not clear whether it is a whole new engine or a revised version of he 8.4-liter V10 SFI engine. In exchange, the guys of Fiat will take a look at Viper’s dynamics. The model will receive a stability control system, feature not found on current generation. Dodge Viper fans were enjoying this particular element, because it allowed them to differentiate from the drivers of the other models, that weren’t capable of controlling the model in tight situations without any electronic help. The first generation Dodge Viper didn’t even had ABS.

The stability control system was added for two reasons. On the one hand, the USA and European regulations will require all automakers to use it on all new vehicles. On the other hand, Dodge wants to make the model more accessible to those that weren’t able to tame the American supercar. In exchange, some of the Dodge Viper enthusiasts are afraid that the model will not be aggressive anymore, but Gilles added that he is a Viper fan and likes competition, so he tells the fans to expect a naughty version of the model.

 American supercar engine will hide under the hood an engine  able to offer 700 HP.

After reaching in the garages of 25,000 customers worldwide, from 1992 to present, Dodge Viper supercar,  an iconic model for the American automaker, has said this year goodbye to his fans.  Not for long however, because the American automaker intends to launch a new generation with Italian partner Fiat.

The first sign of cooperation between the two parties could come just over two years, when in a major auto show overseas, Dodge will display concept which anticipates the next generation Viper.

To cope with the current competition in the   exotic models segment, the supercar will need a powerful engine capable of delivering unbeatable performance, but accpetabil consumption. But Americans will not fall prey to eco temptation and will keep under the body  a  gasoline engine, ten-cylinder V and an impressive capacity of  8.4 liters.  The engine will have the latest direct injection technology and will be able to deliver a total of 700 HP, while obeying the rules of  pollution.

The chassis will not be completely changed, but there is a considerable improvement of the steering and maneuverability implicitly.  Traditional spirit it will be not affected, the driver will have a manual box and   security system that can be completely disable . Unofficially sources  announces even a partnership with Ferrari in this area, the Italians will advise on the development of electronic control systems.

Dodge could launch an entry-level version of its Viper, driven by a V8 engine with something more modest performance.

Designer Fernando Morita presented first teaser image of the future GT supercar Amoritz DR7. Model debut on market in October and is equipped with a V10 8.4-liter  engine.

A Brazilian designer, Fernando Morita, created the firs country supercar. The model called GT Amoritz DR7 and has a similar design with Mazda Furai Concept and Lamborghini Gallardo. The Brazilian supercar was first announced by a teaser image presented by the author of this model. DR7 Amoritz GT will be built in just 50 copies, so the customers exclusivity will be assured.

The propulsion is provided by a V10 8.4-liter engine of Dodge origin, taken directly from the Viper. The model will be develop 612 HP and 560 lb-ft of torque, but some rumors announces twin-turbo supercharge and even flex-fuel capability. It would not be the first flex-fuel supercar in the world, there are already automakers who offer exotic models that can work both with gasoline and with E85 ethanol. It may that Fernando Morita have developed several versions of this engine power, depending the needs of potential clients.

The official unveiling of the model will take place this year, in October and first orders are expected in the same period. For now, the Amoritz officials did not disclose the price of this Brazilian supercar. Another unique element to this supercar is the interior arrangement of seats, which are located in the same way as the McLaren F1 – the driver seat located centrally and the passengers seats are located in the rear side.

The Dodge plant from Conner Avenue  began the production of the Viper’s SRT10 first special edition, called ACR-X. The model can develop 640 Hp from a 8.4 liter V10 engine.

The production of the limited edition of Dodge Viper SRT 10 ACR-X debuted Monday in the Conner Avenue Dodge plant . The model is an extreme performance version of  Dodge Viper SRT 10 and developing 40 hp in addition to the standard version, reaching a total of 640 horsepower from a 8.4 liter V10 engine. The propeller is developed by specialists from the SRT and is equipped with a less restricted exhaust system but uses a standard outlet gallery.

“The 2010 model year is going to be unique for the Dodge Viper in many ways both on and off the track, so to kick it off with production of our ultimate special-edition Viper ACR-X is our way of paying tribute to the performance engineering expertise of our SRT team, combined with the passion and dedication of Viper Nation, to keep the tradition going strong.With its amazing on-track performance, the Viper ACR-X is going to seriously turn the heads of all road-racing enthusiasts, whether it is the grassroots driver all the way up to the professional”, said Ralph Gilles, the Dodge president.

Dodge Viper SRT 10 ACR-X is just one of several special editions of the Viper f prepared by Dodge. Along with this special edition, they will create the 1:33 ACR Edition , but Voodoo Viper ACR Edition also. All these models will be built in the Conner Avenue plant in Michigan. Viper production was moved to this factory 15 years ago.

People can buy the Dodge Viper SRT 10 ACR-X at a $110,000 starting price.
