Although no one knows how much was paid last year, in 2010 alone the damages are of $570,000. 2010 Dakar Rally in Chile and Argentina brought 370 vehicles, covering 2,517 miles in this desert area north of the country.
According to the Chilean official, the South American state will be linked to a detailed report of archaeological sites that may be damaged, map points of this type will be given to organizers of the 2011 edition of the Dakar Rally. Next year’s competition will be held for the third consecutive time in Chile and Argentina.
