Carlsson Will Present The New C25 In Geneva

The tuners from Carlsson will present their first developed model as an authorized car manufacturer at the Geneva Motor Show. It is called C25 and will be produced in only 25 copies.

The Germans from Carlsson will present their first car built as an authorized automaker at the Geneva Motor Show. The new C25 is based on the Mercedes CL600 but is developed entirely by the Carlsson engineers. So the guys from Carlsson wanted to combine the dynamic performance with a new design and a high level of exclusivity. Number 25 in the name of this model is the production rate of this supercar from Carlsson – only 25 units will be manufactured.

Carlsson C25 is equipped with a V12 twin-turbo 6.0-liter engine that develops 753 HP and a maximum torque of 848 lb-ft. Torque is electronically limited until 60 mph, when the maximum allowable torque climbs to 974 lb-ft. The maximum torque value is reached at 3,750 rpm, and the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is accomplished in just 3.7 seconds. Carlsson C25′s top speed is 202 mph.

Despite the dramatically increased performance, Carlsson C25 benefits from a new ESP system adapted to its new power, ABS, numerous airbags and other safety elements. The model benefits from a C-Tronic suspension, which offers a better roadholding and a ride hight reduced by 1.2 inches. The model’s alloy wheels have a diameter of 20 inches and benefits from much larger brake discs, which are perforated and ventilated. The brake discs on the front have a diameter of 16 inches, while the ones on the rear axle have a diameter o12 inches.

Carlsson will create each copy according to the owner’s wishes and the C25′s individuality will be ensured by this method. All models that will be produced in 2010 have already been ordered by Carlsson’s loyal customers. Unlike the other Carlsson models Carlsson, now the connection between C25 and the Mercedes model it was based on is extremely fine and it is not only a complete tuning package for the model of the Stuttgart automaker.
