The newest luxury automobileproduced by British Bentley brand, owned by Germans from  Volkswagen, will be released on September 7th. This is the second generation’s of Continental GT coupe, announced the automaker. Bentley has already released a few teaser images of the future Continental GT,  but today the company has come out to inform the world that they will be debuting the future iconic British coupe next month, and not during the Paris Moto Show  as originally expected.

The Continental GT was the first Bentley completely designed under Volkswagen ownership and definitely it changed the direction of the brand. That was 2003 though, there was a very light refresh in 2005, but aside from several special editions and a high-performance model, the car’s been relatively untouched, until now.

“In 2003 we created a machine like no other (…).  Now is the time to write a new chapter for Continental.  Design style and story of 2010 is as dramatic and we believe that Bentley GT will be as recognizable as its predecessor, ”  said Bentley’s design director Dirk van Braeckel, in a press release.

From entering the market in 2003, Bentley Continental GT has found 22,000 customers so far.  The car has a biturbo  6-liter W12 gasoline engine, 560 HP(412 kW), which develops a maximum 650 Nm of torque.

The car has permanent four-wheel drive and hit 60 mph  in 4.8 seconds, top speed is 197 mph.

The Continental GT offers four passenger seats.  The car has a convertible version, called the Continental GTC, and more powerful engine variants bearing the names  Speed (Continental GT Speed and Continental GTC Speed) and Supersports.

Is expected that the new Bentley Continental GT to debut physical  at the Paris Motor Show in October.

Bentley will unveil at the Paris Auto Show a facelifted version of their Continental GT, announces a video teaser, which shows us the main changes of the revised version of the luxury car.

As as we are getting closer to the Paris Auto Show 2010 opening date, lots and lots of automakers begin to unveil some of the surprises that they will display this fall. Bentley is one of them, the automaker in Crewe planning to present at its Parisian stand the facelift of Continental GT.

The luxury model is already anticipated by a video teaser, which subtly reviews the changes suffered in the restyling process. The spy shots taken in the last months confirm the enhancements that the most successful model of the Brits will receive.

On the exterior, the new Bentley Continental GT facelift will adopt a new positioning of the round headlights, new LED lights, a new front grille, and revised spoilers. The interior was also revised, as Bentley will complete what so far was called a definition of luxury.

About the changes in the engine compartment no informations were revealed, but we can expect at better fuel mileage and lower CO2 emissions. Here’s the video we told you about:

The Bentley customers have booked all the Mulsanne units to be built by 2012. The British company considers increasing the production to meet the demand.

The Brits from Bentley announced that all Mulsanne units which will be produced by 2012 have been booked by customers. By 2012, the Crewe manufacturer has committed to build 800 Bentley Mulsanne units to meet orders made before. Although officials have announced that Bentley take into account the increase in production, it will not be achieved easily.

As you know, Bentley Mulsanne is painted in 86 hours and the assembling takes 170 hours. The painting of all 800 units that will be produced by 2012 will take about 68,800 hours and their assembly will take 136,000 hours. Increasing the number of employees is not an option for those of Bentley than small areas because of their training lasts very long, and each employee needs a time until it is ready for production line.

In 2010 Bentley will produce only 200 Mulsanne units, and they were more reserved. Thus, in 2011 Bentley must assemble three times more Mulsanne units than in 2010. Bentley Mulsanne is equipped with a twin-turbo 6.75-liter V8 engine that develops 512 HP and offers a 752 lb-ft of torque.

Bentley Mulsanne, probably, does not need any advertising, for this reason the first promotional clip doesn’t try to convince customers, but it presents the development of the latest Bentley model.

After several months of waiting, the British manufacturer, Bentley, took care to keep us in suspense with an interesting series of teasers, now is the moment for the official reveal of the new model Bentley Mulsanne. Although at first glance you would be tempted to think that this was simply an Arnage with a more powerful  facelift, officials were careful to point out clearly that the new Mulsanne is not a substitute for the above mentioned model.

They even wanted to emphasize that not even one piece remained unchanged compared with those mounted on what was until now, the flagship of the Bentley. The new Mulsanne is inspired directly from  the 8 liters models from the period before the entry of Rolls-Royce property, when Bentley models  were considered the most luxurious in the world.

From there were the optical blocks configuration, which have brought a few modern changes, such as the LED circle beam that borders the central headlights. From the side you can admire the huge rear pillar throughout his megalomania, and, the rear lights to  remind us of the Continental series.

The dimensions are impressive, with a length of 219 inch,a width of 76 inch and a height of 60 inch. The massif model has huge 20 inch wheels that emphasize the portliness of the Bentley limousines.

The interior was also completely changed, but the technique followed the same recipe. Thus the new model will have a V8 engine, a sharp revision of the famous 6.75-liter, developing 505 hp and torque of 752 lb-ft. The unit is connected to a ZF automatic box with 8 reports. The price has not been notified.
