Geneva Motor Show 2011 presented a lot of surprises, a lot of hybrid and electric cars but also the Supercars. I made a top 5 of the most interesting Supercars.

1. LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR

This Supercar was waiting by a lot of people, especially by the Lamborghini fans. The Murcielago successor came to Geneva Auto Show 2011 after his previously announced by a series of teasers that have gradually ”dressed” the Italian model, over the recent weeks. The model of the automaker from Sant’Agata Bolognese comes with a V12 engine, with 700 HP and with interesting figures in the column entitled “Performance”: 2.9 seconds for 0-60 mph and 217 mph maximum speed.

2. FERRARI FF

The latest model in the Ferrari range does not replace any previous model. From a simple reason: it is an absolute new model for the Italian automaker. We talking about the first Ferrari model in the history that comes with four wheel drive system and with fours seats, elements that are considered strange by many fans of the brand. However, the interesting Shooting Brake design, the V12 engine and the 660 HP promise that the Ferrari FF model will quickly find the buyers.

3. PAGANI HUAYRA

Many of those guys present at Geneva Motor Show 2011 have called Pagani Huayra the most exciting Supercar released at Geneva. And this is the true, while the car comes into already known Horacio Pagani design and have under the hood a V12 engine that can develops 700 HP and 738 lb-ft of torque. And, more interesting is that the Italian model has a mass of only 2,970 pounds.

4. Koenigsegg AGERA R

The Swedes from Koenigsegg have presented their new Supercar, named Agera R. We are talking about a Supercar made and constructed in 100% sporty spirit, destinate for the performance on the road. Under the hood, Agera R comes with a twin turbo V8 engine that develops 1115 HP and 886 lb-ft of torque. We don’t have the 0-60 acceleration performance, but the maximum speed that can reach new Koenigsegg Agera R is 273 mph. This however, will be electronically limited to “only” 233 mph.

5. ASTON MARTIN VIRAGE

The new Aston Marin Supercar, named Virage is a model that infiltrating between DB9 and DBS. Obviously, we see another Aston Martin with sexy lines and in the same time with elegant lines, but under the hood Virage comes with a V12 6.0-liter engine that can develops 510 HP. Aston Martin Virage is available both in Coupe version and also in Volante version(Convertible).

A car dealership in Germany have published on their official website the options and the price tag of the new Lamborghini model, a model that will replace Murcielago. Lamborghini has not yet released any official picture of the new model, the only informations being offered by a brochure designed for the European dealers.

Auto Salon Singen dealership was offering, at the end of last year, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept, and now it’s Aventador LP700-4′s turn. The price was set to 309,900 euros, VAT included and 260,4200 euros, no tax included.

The new Lamborghini LP700-4 will have a weight of 1,575 kg, 230 kg less than the Murcielago LP640-4. The new model features a 6.5-liter V12 engine, a unit capable of developing not less than 700 HP and 690 Nm of torque. The official average fuel consumption is of 17 l/100 km, and the CO2 emissions are of 398 g/km.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 sprints from o to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and the top speed is of 350 km/h. In order to face this power increase, Lamborghini have fitted an enhanced braking system and 19 inch rims in the front and 20 inch rims for the rear. The rims are wearing 255/35 and 335/30 tires.

The international automotive press received the first informations about the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, the successor of the Murcielago LP640-4. Here are the first scanned pictures of a confidential brochure, brochure that should have landed in the Lamborghini dealerships.

The new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 will weigh-in 1,575 kg, 230 kg less than the Murcielago LP640-4. The new Aventador will be fitted a 6.5-liter V12 engine, a unit capable of developing a total power of 700 HP and 690 Nm of torque. The average fuel consumption is of 17/100 km, and the emissions are of 398 g CO2/km.

The 0-100 kph sprint is made in 2.9 and the top speed of Lamborghini LP700 is of 350 kph. In order to face the increase in power, Lamborghini have fitted the new Aventador with an enhanced braking system and 19-inch wheels in the front and 20-inches in the rear. The rims are wearing 255/35 and 335/30 tires.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 uses the new ISR transmission (Independent Shifting Rod), automatic, with seven gears and only needs 50 milliseconds for shifting gears, so shifting up and down is almost is done in a blink.

Thew brand new Lamborghini Avandor LP700-4 will be available in 13 different body paints, among them Argos Orange and Estoque Grey especially developed for the new model. The Italians are offering 12 color options for the interior. Among the stock features of the new LP700-4 are the rear spoiler, the electronically controlled side air intakes, the 7-inch multimedia screen, navi, xenon headlights and air conditioning.
