Punto Abarth’s Evo version   develops 180 HP and comes in 7.5 seconds from 0-60  mph.  It will be launched at the Paris Salon with Abarth  500C.

Abarth, the sports division of the Fiat,  published today the first official pictures of the new Punto Evo and 500C Abarth along side with additional kits official called esseesse. As before, the esseesse kits can be installed by customers  of an Abarth Punto Evo Abarth 500C  by paying an additional amount that included spectacular technical changes  and aesthetic elements that contribute to the sporty image of the Italian models.

After being released with fast in Italy and received at Geneva an Abarth version, the new Punto Evo  can be ordered by four-wheel sportiness enthusiasts  fans  with esseesse kit from this autumn in Europe.

In esseesse version, Abarth Punto Evo  gets 180HP and 270 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm.  Under these conditions, maximum speed  of the  Italian model increased to 134 mph and  0-60 acceleration  reached 7.5 seconds.

In terms of aesthetics, Abarth Punto Evo esseesse  stands out in particular due to Grey Campovolo paint,  by 18-inch alloy wheels with design and color  esseesse, inside the  future clients will have Abarth Corse seats  by Sabelt, black leather and a navigation system that can have a telemetry data recording system developed by Magneti Marelli.

Cabrio version of the Fiat 500 will be available from this autumn in a supersport version. Esseesse kit that can be added optionally over already released Abarth 500C  includes two special shades for  body (Campovolo Grey Grey and track) and the 17-inch wheels in anthracite color, a special diffuser for the exhaust who rise the sound of the engine  from above 4000 rpm Abarth Corse seats by Sabelt  and, as  his elder brother, telemetry system developed by Magnetti Marelli.

Abarth 500C esseesse  has  a 1.4-liter turbo engine that develops 160 HP and 230 Nm of torque. . Italian Sport Cabriolet maximum speed is 129 mph while acceleration from 0-60 mph is achieved in 7.6 seconds.

Abarth will collaborate with KTM in order to develop a rival for Lotus Exige. It will be named Abarth KTM X-Bow and will make its market debut in 2013.

Abarth, the house tuner of the Italians at Fiat, prepares a partnership with KTM to crate a rival for Lotus Exige. The car will be named Abarth KTM X-Bow and is expected to hit the showrooms in 2013. Most likely, the new creation of the Italians would have a 1.8-liter MultiAir engine, of course, coming from Fiat, that will be able to develop up to 200 HP.

The new model will keep the monocoque structure of the current X-Bow, but the body will become a lot more friendlier. Abarth KTM X-Bow is wanted to be a street model and that’s why the Italians will mount a windshield, air conditioner and other options required for day-to-day driving. That’s the reason why the weight of the Italian model will increase, and its performances will drop compared with the current KTM X-Bow.

Exige’s rival will be built in a limited edition, will have two seats and a mid-mounted engine. The price the Italian tuner will ask for the new model was not yet announced, but the enthusiasts will have to pay around $72,000.

The Fiat brand will officially returns on the United States market in December 2010, after an absence of 30 years. The first Fiat model which will be sold on the US market is Fiat 500.

The Italians from Fiat have confirmed that they will returns on the U.S. market in December 2010. The first model which will be sold on the market in North America will be Fiat 500, which will be offered in four versions. The model will fight with Mini Cooper and will be assembled in Toluca, Mexico. In 2011, Fiat will introduce a convertible version of Fiat 500 on the US market, while 2012 will mark the beginning of an electric version of this model, which will be sold only in this market and will benefit from lithium-ion battery.

The Abarth verion of Fiat 500 will be marketed on the United States market since 2012. At that time, the model will be offered with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine and will deliver 160 HP. On the Europe market, Fiat 500 Abarth is offered with a 1.4 T-Jet engine and 135 HP and can provide 160 HP with Esseesse kit help. Most likely, the Italians will fit this kit on all units sold in the United States.

The four-door version of Fiat 500 will enter on the United States market in 2013 or later. Unlike other versions of this model, the four-door copies will be imported directly from the factory by Serbia. The market from Europe will receive this model in 2012, but the Americans will have to wait some more because the Italians have to make some changes to this model. On the United Stated market, the four-door version of 500 will be classified as a small MPV, because it have four doors,a hatchback trunk and a high roof line.

Abarth will develop a more powerful version of 500, to remind about the Zagato Abarth 750 T model launched in 1959. The model will be offered in two body versions and will develop around 170 HP.

The Italians at Abarth announced that they will develop another version of Fiat 500, that will be named Speedster and will be a more extreme representation of this model. The car is inspired by Zagato Abarth 750 T launched in 1959 and will be offered both in coupe and convertible version. The coupe version of this model will benefit from the traditional Zagato roof, with two bumps for helmets, just like the 750 T model had. The rear seats could be eliminated for some versions to respect the style of the Italian coupes of the 50′s and 60′s.

Regarding the engines, the new Abarth 500 Speedster will be equipped either with the 1.4 T-Jet engine of the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari limited edition, or with the MultiAir engine of 1.4-liter which equips the Abarth Punto Evo model. While teh 1.4 T-Jet unit of 695 Tributo Ferrari develops 178 HP, the 1.4 MultiAir engine of Abarth Punto Evo offers 163 HP as standard, and 178 HP with the Esseesse package. There is the possibility that the Abarth engineers to develop an even more powerful version of one of the two 1.4-liter engine, as we are talking about a performance version of Abarth 500.

The performances of the new model will be higher, being way over those of the Abarth models currently in the range. While Abarth 500C with Esseesse package needs 7.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mo, the new Abarth 500 Speedster might have a 0-60 mph time of around 7 seconds, while the top speed of this model will be higher than the one Abart 500C Esseesse can reach. The new body 500 Speedster will use will exclusively belong to Abarth and might give birth to a two seats coupe.

Besides the sporty versions of the Fiat models, it seems that Abarth will build their own coupe that promises top performances.

After Fiat Group revived Abarth two years ago and produces performance versions of their models under the logo of this brand, it looks like things are going in the right direction for the Italians. According to some information published by the Brits from Autocar, who quote the Sales and Marketing Director of the Italian brand, Abarth will build their own sporty model that will have nothing in common with the Fiat line-up.

“The brand is doing so well we will definitely bring our own standalone Abarth coupe model to market within the next two years,” said Antonio Labate, the Abarth official, interviewed by Autocar.

Although it was first rumored that the new sportscar will borrow the platform and a big part of the Lotus Elise’s design, Labate rejected this information. He didn’t offer any details about the technical specs of the future italian model, but Autocar claims that the new Abarth model will have a mid-engine of 240 HP and a weight of around 2,000 lbs.

For every car, there’s a prospective customer. And for a car like the Fiat 500C, a cutesy retro mini with a pseudo-cabrio sliding canvas roof, we hardly need to point out who that target demographic is. But as if to highlight what a difference the little things can make, the Abarth version is another beast entirely.

Abarth exists for a long time, from 1949 actually if you got our history right. In 2007 Fiat Automobiles SpA relaunched the brand with the Grande Punto Abarth and the Grande Punto Abarth S2000. It’s rather obvious that they are trying to establish the name as a cult brand, and they just might be succeeding. The Scorpions logo is pictures everywhere you look in the little 500C, as you can see for yourself in the photo gallery.

But that’s the Abarth version of the 500C all about? Well, take for instance 40-horsepower from a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Add in the five-speed sequential paddle-shift transmission and don’t forget the stunning clother erm we mean paint-job (yes, the girl caught our eyes too) and you have a totally different fairy tale here. A cool player, and a presentable vehicle for  car enthusiasts not just urban little-cars fans.

Abarth has presented the first official pictures of the Punto EVO and 500C before their debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2010.

The Italians from Abarth revealed their on versions of the Fiat Punto EVo and Fiat 500C models before the official launch at Geneva Auto Show. The two models are expected to make their debut on 2 March, and they promise performance many will envy.

Fiat Punto EVO, in the Abarth version develops 161 hp thanks to a 1.4-liter MultiAir engine, and the Italians will create essesse a version that will develop 178 HP. According to Abarth, Punto Evo accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.5 seconds while the top speed is 133 mph. Other details of this model will be unveiled at the time of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Abarth 500C is equipped with a 1.4-liter Tjet engine that offers 138 HP. For now, the Italians have not given any information about a potential esesse version, but there is an option to equip this model with a robotic gearbox controlled via the paddles on the  steering wheel – as if in the 695 Tributo version. The Abarth version of the Fiat 500C accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.9 seconds while top speed is 127 mph. As if the Punto EVO, Abarth will unveil the details of this model within the Geneva Auto Show, in March.

After Fiat redid their Punto Evo with some more modern features and a few updated specs, rumours have been going round and round again that the Abarth will also get a do. Well, a photo has leaked and it appears that we can now admire a redone Abarth, probably a concept on which the new line will be based.

In a related development, Scottish racing team If Motorsport is reported to be considering bringing the Punto Abarth into the British Touring Car Championship. The recent competition-spec Abarth might bring some fresh, fiery new spirit to the BTCC.

Fiat Abarth reloaded

Abarth is after all a racing brand. The Scorpion logo has been around for more than 50 years, Fiat only recently relaunched it back in 2007. The brand is to be seen as a separate division to the main Fiat brand in a similar way that the Renault Sport brand is to the mainstream Renault.

The new Abarth Punto Evo gets more however from Fiat than just a redone face. Power is increased from 155 horsepower to 170, thanks to the use of Fiat‘s new MultiAir engine technology. But that’s just the base Abarth. The even cooler EsseEsse model is supposed to own some 200 horses. The use of Fiat’s new dual-clutch gearbox is also reportedly in the mix, along with some LED lighting.
