Mansory prepared a tuning package for the Ferrari 458 Italia supercar. Named Siracusa, the package comes with a bit more power under the hood and carbon fiber aerodynamic elements.

Mansory have built a special tuning kit for Ferrari 458 Italia, named Siracusa. The package includes both aesthetic and technical tweaks.  Thanks to the revisions of the guys specialized in tuning exotic models, Ferrari 458 Italia Siracusa now features 590 HP and a torque of 560 Nm. Now, the Italian supercar sprints from 0 to 100 kph in 3.2 seconds and tops 330 kph.

The aerodynamic kit, designed by Mansory, is based on carbon fiber materials and features: a front bumper extension, rear diffuser, an small spoiler and air intakes for the thresholds. According to Mansory, the elements manage to increase the downforce on both axles, even though 458 Italia now weighs in 70 kg less than stock.

The tuner also prepared 20″ rims for the front and 21″ for the rear, wearing Michelin PS2 performance tires. The suspension was modified too, for enhanced handling. Inside, the Suracusa package brings custom leather trim, and a series of carbon fiber insertions.

Ferrari 458 Italia will receive a twin-turbo kit from the Americans of Underground Racing. Subsequently, the tuners will built an even more aggressive package, including a rebuilt engine.

The Americans of Underground Racing have announced a tunning package for Ferrari 458 Italia. Just like we expected, the tuners will fit two turbines on the Italian supercar, of course, enhancing its performances. But this is only the first stage of the tuning kit, as the engine will be rebuilt in order to be able to increase the turbine pressure. The Underground Racing officials have not announced yet the performances they want to squeeze from their own version of Ferrari 458 Italia.

A stock Ferrari 458 Italia features a naturally aspired 4.5-liter V8 engine, developing the biggest amount of horsepower in the world for his category – 570 HP squeezed from a 4,500 cmc. The maximum torque developed by this engine is of 540 Nm, and the double-clutch transmission with seven gears helps the supercar sprint from 0 to 60 in just 3.4 seconds, while the top speed is of over 325 km/h. Given the big power of the engine, the compression ratio for the engine that wast the starting point of the Underground Racing modifications, the American tuner have to make a lot o changes to the settings of the Maranello model, because the have to avoid braking the pistons or the engine block.

The second tuning stage would have to offer a spectacular performance level, because the Americans will have the occasion to use a set of pistons which will offer a lower compression ratio. Besides it, the two turbines will be able to provide even bigger pressure, and will safely increase 458 Italia’s power. The American tuners are already known for the twin-turbo packages the offer for Gallardo, and among their works of art there’s a twin-turbo Ferrari F430.

We all know that McLaren is returning in the world of the supercars with a brand new creation, their MP4-12C. Bored of only being famous for the McLaren F1, the British brand used their Formula 1 experience and built a new supercar. McLaren will open the first dealerships in Europe that will host the latest creation designed in the Woking labs. Called McLaren MP4-12C, the two-seater supercar will be delivered starting 2011 at a price of 200,000 euros in Europe (about $260,000).

For this amount of money, McLaren promises not just a performance car but also Formula 1 technology for the buyers of MP4-12C. This translates in a carbon fiber chassis, a set of suspensions not fount on other supercars and a twin-turbo 3.8-liter engine developing 600 HP for the sports model.

The interior of McLaren MP4-12C will only host two passengers and the exterior surprises by its aerodynamics and body shapes.

All enthusiasts dreaming about a McLaren MP4-12C will have to travel to a McLaren dealership and order the new star of the supercars world. But what will they get? A beauty with Formula 1 accessories.

The new supercar weighs in only 2,850 kg and measures 177 inches in length. It will be 1,000 euros cheaper than its main rival, Ferrari 458 Italia, but this kind of money means nothing for the supercar hunters.

What really matters are the performances of McLaren MP4-12C: it sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds and tops over 185 mph. According to the British manufacturer, MP4-12C is able to hit 125 mph in less than 10 seconds.

Only 1,000 units will be built in the first production year, but this number might be increased if demanded.

McLaren MP4-12C will be delivered in 20 countries with the help of 35 closely-chosen dealerships.

The new Ferrari 458 GTC is getting ready for its official debut on the track.

A Ferrari 458 Italia ready for racing was caught lapping and the pics hit the web, the Maranello officials decided to publish some pictures of the successor of F430 GT2, Ferrari 458 GTC.

Ferrari 458 GTC was built for fighting all its rivals in the endurance competitions, or any other competition, where next to the name of the brand and model is also the one of “Le Mans.” For now, 458 GTC is on the track, doing some testing, driven by some skilled hands, of the former FIA GT world champion and to times Le Mans winner (in his class), Jaime Melo.

The Italian supercar was taken out to get some fresh air, even though there was some snow around the track, because it has to be ready for its official debut, in the 12H Sebring Race, within Le Mans American Series.

But Ferrari officials are not giving to much information, so all we can do is show you some pictures they released for the press.

The fasted man on the planet had the occasion to test two Ferrari models on Fiorano track. Usain Bolt was fascinated by this experience.

The footwear and sportswear manufacturer, Puma, was the one that made possible the encounter of two of the most famous names of the sports world. We are talking about Ferrari and Usain Bolt, the phenomenal Jamaican athlete, holder of the world record and Olympic champion of 100 and 200 m sprint. Taking advantage of the fact that they are  making and sponsoring the clothing worn by the Ferrari F1 Team and for Usain Bolt, Puma arranged a visit of the Jamaican to Maranello, where the fastest man on the planet tested the Ferrari 458 Italia and Ferrari 599 GTB on the track.

“Taking laps in the Fiorano track was a thrill. It’s the first time I’ve had a chance to drive a Ferrari on track and it’s a dream come true,” said Bolt at the end of the tests.

“I thought I was fast; but, these incredible cars give the word fast a new meaning. You have to respect these machines. Being here at Ferrari headquarters is a memorable experience; there’s so much history here. I’m looking forward to getting one of these cars to give me my fix for speed,” Bolt added.

Remember some times  ago when the those from Oakley Design developed  a tuning kit for the Ferrari 458 Italia, we thought nothing would make the  Ferrari better than it  was (i say was, because that stupid incidents caused at the Ferrari’s engine, when some models were absolutely destroyed by fire).

Oakley Design, as a matter of facts did create a better 458 Italia, and the lucky guys from Performance Direct Motoring News had the chance to perform a test drive with one of the five limited units! Not only did they get a chance to ride around in the exquisite  sports car, but they also had the opportunity to organize a challenge between Ferrari 458 Italy and a Ducati 1198 ’Carbon Edition’. What lucky are those guys.

The Ferrari 458 Italia offers a carbon-fiber front spoiler, carbon-fiber inserts on the radiator air exit ducts, wider side sills, on the rear has a lighter carbon-fiber diffuser a new rear spoiler and carbon-fiber roof panel, mirror covers, and an engine cover insert. The engine’s output was increased by 10%, obtaining a total of 627 HP and  567 Nm of torque. This improved Ferrari 458 Italy, is able to reach 60 mph in 3.0 seconds, while the top speed is 205 mph.

Ferrari said that all the 458 Italia models will be recalled in order to get some modifications. It seems that eventually the cause of the fires is a technical one, more precisely a manufacturing fault.

1,248 wealthy owners of Ferrari 45 Italia have to bring their cars back to the factory in Maranello. Of course, not the ones that were “lucky” to see their cars burn in flames and then look like a Picasso painting.

It seems that the fires are caused by the glue used to joint the inner protection of the fenders (the mud guards), a glue that is flammable and too close to the exhaust. It overeats and the bursts in flames.

It was proved that it happens to the cars that run at high speeds for a long period of time, so if any Ferrari 458 Italia owner wants to hit the roads these days and go on a trip, he’d better use his back-up car!

The 458 Italia models built after July 2010 do not suffer from this issue, so they will not be recalled. Still, there are 1,248 owners that will have to see their cars recalled.

Ferrari 458 Italia is the latest supercar of the Italians in Maranello, a real torpedo with 570 HP, developed by a 4.5-liter V8 engine.

It looks like that the Italians are not staying with their hands crossed. Initially, they said that drivers are the ones to blame because their cars ignited, and said that in no way is about a manufacturing fault, but it seems that now they are not so sure anymore. The guys at Ferrari started an investigation in order to see if the 458 Italia model has some manufacturing problems.

First, there was just an isolated case. Logic. No panic, it’s an accident, **it happens. Then the second one followed. The third one and some other ones. The super sports cars are known that they have the tendency to burn, because they work at higher temperatures. But this was happening when Mercedes Gullwing was the ultimate supercar, back in the 60′s, when you barely breathed because of the heat from the exhaust that was passing just inches from your butt.

But now we are in 2010, with half a foot in 2011, and cars for 2012 are already launched. There are safety systems, the gas tanks don’t leak anymore, have automatic shutoff valves, and some cars even have installation of fire fighting. So something is fishy with a car that bursts into flames in 2010 for apparently no reason. And if the car is a Ferrari, the newest Ferrari, the one that Jeremy Clarkson rated as “the best Ferrari ever made,” something is really wrong. So the investigation begun.

An official press release that came from the factory in Maranello said that Ferrari takes his customers really serious, and the crashes even more serious. In addition, the Italians started an investigation for every Ferrari 458 Italia model, to determine the problem.

Ferrari do not wishes to stain their image and also do not want to loose any customer in a fire with the logo of a prancing horse. But Ferrari officials do not exclude the possibility that the 458 Italia owners to use their supercars in a bad way. But we will find out after Ferrari official announces the results of the investigation. We are eager to see them! Until then, if you own a Ferrari is not bad to invest 20 bucks in a fire extinguisher.

Altought not well tested and released Ferrari 458 Italia with his new  570  HP it makes wawes .  Unfortunately, negatively talking.  More specifically, 10 of these cars have seen the end in serious injury or simply took fire.  It looks like it’s not an error but simply manufacturing who takes a 458 Italia is prone to accidents.  Or so say the people at Ferrari.

Latest car brand Ferrari were hit like a curse. 10 of them ended up seriously damaged or burned on the roadside.  In the last three months, six Ferrari 458 were involved in accidents: three had caught fire and one was destroyed in a warehouse fire.

It seems that there were no technical problems at the $ 252,000  supercar.  Owners simply are hit by bad luck.

The curse has been reported on www.wreckedexotics.com site, which notes all the accidents in which they are involved supercars of  hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Here you can find information on Ferrari, Lamborghini , Porsche , all hit, their value amounting to $441 million .

• July 8, Paris – A black 458 caught fire. Passersby helped to stop the fire.
• July 9, London – A 458  yellow came from Saudi Arabia, has full burned on a warehouse of Heathrow Airport.
• July 14, Switzerland – 458  red star to burn on the coil of the mountains.
• August 9, Italy – A day old supercar is seen “stuck” in a tree near Marranello.
• August 11, England – 458 hits black barrier on the roadside because of wet pavement.
• August 18th, Calif. – A 458 red start to burn.
• August 21, Czech Republic – A car with only six hours old is tracted from a ditch.

Ferrari 458 Italia is not the only  of the most popular models of the Scuderia, but also one of the most tormented supercars which have left the factory gates in Maranello. In an year since its official launch, the glory of the  newest product of  Ferrari is shadowed by a series of adverse accidente, which culminated with unexplained burning of more  Ferrari copies.

Number of accidents involving Ferrari 458 Italy has reached ten. This time we talk about an incident on the streets of the Czech Republic.

Specimen photographed in a parking lot in the Czech Republic suffered a major accident in front and the causes that led to the occurrence of the incident are unknown.

The Italian model owner has not enjoyed much of his services as 458 Italia indicate aboard only  186 miles run. This is the second accident in the Czech Republic with an  Ferrari 458 Italia model who has been involved. Since its launch on the car market until today, ten copies of the Italian supercar burned or were the  ‘negative’ characters of road accidents.

Ferrari 468 Italia hide under the hood an V8 4.5-liter  engine  capable of producing up to 578 HP and can develop a maximum 540 Nm of torque. Sprint from 0-60 mph takes place in only 3.4 seconds and the maximum speed  is 202 mph.
