The collaboration between Volkswagen and Suzuki could form a moto  division in the future, in the German car maker. That will benefit by Japanese experience on this segment.
The windfall of the 20% holding of Suzuki offered Volkswagen a lot of opportunities. One of the most important would be the Germans chance to enter  the moto segment, where Suzuki is doing very well and has a hard-set image.
The alliance between VW an Suzuki could make this the world’s largest automaker group.

“We first made contact with Suzuki in August, 2009 and visited Hamamatsu (where Suzuki has its head office) in November. While there, we were able to have the same level of technical discussions with the Suzuki engineers as we usually have with the engineers in VW’s head office. We speak the same language because the engineers at both companies share a great emphasis on technological development” said VW chief, Martin Winterkorn.

The British automaker intends to make the Phantom one of the longest running models in the range. Launched in 2003, the limousine is scheduled for a new generation only in 2016.
Although they launched the new Ghost last year, based on the BMW 7 Series limousine, Rolls Royce announced that, at this moment, does not intend to throw on the market a replacement for the Phantom admiral ship.
The BMW group subsidiary say that a successor is scheduled only in 2016, which means that the current model luxury could set a record for longevity, being launched on the market back in 2003.
In the present context, in which the life cycle of a car usually lasts for six years, and with the automakers constantly seeking to renew their offer, the idea of a limousine able to remain unchanged for 13 years is a true act of courage.

Even though it doesn’t launch a new generation of

Suzuki  will not produce a Tata Nano rival for the emergent markets. The Suzuki executive affirms that this kind of model will not be a car anymore and that he can’t break down Suzuki standards with a super-low-cost.
The Japanese from Suzuki dropped out the idea of producing a rival of Tata Nano for the emergent markets, despite of the Indian model’s success. Although Susuki and their partners from Maruti control over 50% of the Indian market, they will not create a competitor for Tata Nano because it wouldn’t have the same qualities as his other vehicles.
The boss of this brand, Osamu Suzuki, said that a cheaper car that the current models given on the emergent markets wouldn’t be a car anymore. With this statement, Osamu Suzuki asserted the trust that he has in the current series offered by the Japanese carmaker aside the intention of not cheating quality, instead
