Kia’s new Venga B-segment hatchback, the battery version if you will, was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show that just concluded. Like most of Hyundai’s line of hybrid and electric vehicles, it is based around the EV uses lithium polymer batteries from LG Chem.
The Venga EV contains 24 kilowatt-hours of battery capacity, which are stored under the floorpan of the electric vehicle. he front wheels are driven by an 80-kilowatt motor packing a stout 206 pound-feet of torque. Kia says that the concept has about 112 miles of driving range and a 50-kW fast charge can provide an 80-percent recharge in as little as 20 minutes, while a full charge at normal power levels takes about eight hours.

Kia is all set to debut the latest version of its Magentis midsize sedan at the New York Auto Show in April. Also known as the Optima in the United States, this next-generation sedan is set to kill with looks and pack some fine specs too.

Kia is preparing its arrival on the luxury sedan market, or this is what tell us the teaser photos presented by Peter Schreyer, chief designer at Kia, and posted on AboutCar. The Kia official unveiled this photo of the car, as well some informations about the new model, he called K9, at a press conference that took place somewhere near Seoul. It is most likely that Kia will launch the luxury sedan, internally known as CH, in 2011.
According to the rumors, the car will be powered by the engines used by its sister, Hyundai Genesis, or by a V8 engine, synchronized with a eight-speed automatic transmission.
