Hummer

Just after GM decided to end the story of the Hummer brand, because of the the lack of buyers, a German tuner, CFC, comes with an idea meant to attract customers – a Hummer H2 wearing chromed clothing. Let’s be realistic though: Who would buy that? Especially now, when the small cars are winning ground?
CFC (the abbreviation for CarFilmComponents) has coated the car with a chrome film and its hood is covered with a black carbon fiber layer.
The CFC guys have also changed the ECU’s software, now the Hummer has a power of 480 HP. Some matching wheels are not missing – with 28-inch alloy rims, wearing 325/35 R28 tires. Above all these, they added some LSD doors and a FOX exhaust system.

Inside, the monster on four wheels is dressed in a mix of leather and Alcantara, and the mini bar it is equipped with will certainly attract looks. A massive media system that includes

We all though, or were told, that Saab was going to be dead and burred. Still, it not only revived but returned to the Northern Europe space of origin.
On the other hand, the sale of Hummer was all-but confirmed, officials stated that only legal procedures keep the sale undone. Everything was fine and smooth, and we already had pictured how the Chinese would lead the Hummer brand for the future.
So what exactly is going on here?
John Smith, GM’s vice president of corporate planning and alliances:
“One year ago, General Motors announced that we were going to divest Hummer, as part of focusing our efforts on Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac going forward. We have since considered a number of possibilities for Hummer along the way, and we are disappointed that the deal with Tengzhong could not be completed.”

Hummer may have been going low in public attention since it’s been sold to the Chinese, but we can now prove with the Video below that bulking Hummers are still good for something: saving the day.
The City of Baltimore. Or more recently known as, “How-the-hell-will-I-get-out-of-the-snow?”. Ironically, the mean machine that’s supposed to assure no cat gets stuck… got stuck. In the snow of course.
However, the huge SUV known as H2, hated by green movements people and efficient-car fans out there, saved the day. It can be seen in the Video below towing the much heavier snowplow from some feet of flakes. No, not Kelloggs, water baby – in it’s solid form mind you. Eco-friendly or not, we’re pretty sure the residents of Baltimore were glad to see the monster SUV Hummer for this once. See the clip for yourself, H2 to the rescue! Santa should get one.

Off-road kings of the road, Hummers have made a lasting impression for almost three decades now. Although t the brand is in the process of being sold to Sichuan Tengzhong of China, General Motors have good news: production is going to resume at the Shreveport, LA plant in the USA, for 2010 H3 and H3T units.
And there were the good boys at GM bittin their nails off  fearing they’ll get stuck with old Hummers in stock. Well, things are different: less than 1,200 units are in stock and they’ll run out before the Chinese buyer can start production. The two H3 models are obviously the most popular, and production is going to resume to keep a reserve in stock. We will see just how many Hummer is going to produce, depending on the market request as well how much longer it takes until the take-over by Sichuan Tengzhong is complete.

General Motors could finalize the sale of its German auto unit Opel as early as this week, the U.S. automaker’s CEO said Tuesday.
Fritz Henderson, visiting China for the first time since GM was restructured last summer also handled the sale of Hummer to China’s  Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Corp. This move is still pending, though the deal is official, because it still needs the green light from the Chinese government.
Henderson also informed that  ale of GM’s Opel and Vauxhall units to Canadian autoparts supplier Magna International Inc will go ahead. This is despite Despite labour union objections over possible job losses.
Magna along with Russia’s state-owned Sberbank agreed to buy a 65 percent stake in Opel from General Motors Co. last month. GM is retaining a 35 percent stake. As we see things at this point, this is also quite official. And fast too, like Henderson said: “It’s quite possible
