Ferrari California By Novitec, Or What A Mechanical Compressor Can Do

The guys from Novitec told that the Ferrari California needs to go faster and they mounted a mechanical compressor.
The 4.3-liter V8 engine on the Ferrari California now develops 606 HP, with 166 HP more than stock version and that with a supercharging pressure of only 0.4 bar. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is done in 3.8 seconds, while the top speed is 202 mph. The torque increased less, from 358 lb-ft to 405 lb-ft. Maybe these guys want to make the Ferrari California worthy to compete in F1?

He reached this performance by implementing, in addition to the new mechanical compressor, of new water intercooler, larger injectors, a single admission and an exhaust tone which can be changed by accommodate driver by pressing a simple button.

The first pictures of the hybrid version of the Ferrari 599 GTB have hit the web only a few days before its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2010.
The pictures of the Ferrari 599 Hybrid hit the web, just a few days before the official release at the Geneva Auto Sow. It seems that the photographer who captured these images was attending a private presentation made by Ferrari.
According to the first information, the Ferrari hybrid’s electric motor produces 100 HP and offers a torque of 110 lb-ft. The 599’s performances are improved by intake the electric motor, even if the total mass of the car was increased with 220 lbs. 599 Hybrid will also have a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS), similar to those used until last F1 season.

The named Romeo Mbambo and ND Sibiya attempted to parody the “Wedding Crashers” movie, but the auto version. And it went great, as you can see from the pictures of the crashed Lamborghini Murcielago and Ferrari F430.
The incident occurred in the peaceful (so far) town of Eshowe, South Africa, at the VIP reception of a wedding (the bride is the daughter of a local policeman and the groom is a Fellow of the Royal Protection Unit), reception held at the local sport club, where Lamborghini or Ferrari are absolutely normal cars.

A client, let’s call him eccentric, has made an unusual order to an auto foil manufacturer in Germany: camouflage-style decoration for his Ferrari 458 Italia. Why that?
Why not? Whether he is a fan of the army (or even some retired general), whether he wants to tease the soldiers with his disguised Ferrari 458 Italy supercar.
I know it’s not nice to judge one’s tastes but, come on, why would you want to do something like that to your car, and I’m not talking about any car, I’m talking about an Italian engineering masterpiece, the 458 Italia.

I wonder what Mister Montezemolo will say after seeing one of his babies prepared for the battlefield?
