Although Fiat dropped the first electric models of the Americans from Chrysler, the Italians have asked the Chrysler engineers to develop future electric and hybrid models that this alliance will use.
The Fiat-Chrysler alliance has revealed future plans for development. So those from Chrysler will be responsible for developing electric models, as well as for the hybrid ones, while Fiat will adapt the technology for its platforms and models. The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta was designed to use a hybrid drive train and is likely to become the first hybrid vehicle of this alliance.
Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger, could also benefit from future hybrid drive trains from Fiat-Chrysler alliance range. The Italians from Fiat were impressed with the American’s development in the field of electric vehicles, and that was the reason why the Chrysler engineers will deal with this element of development.

Although Chrysler will not use the Sebring and Avenger name anymore, the

Chrysler will be launching four new vehicles later on this month or in early April (not a fool’s day joke we all hope). One of them can be seen early, thanks to a spy cameraman that surprised the car on the street somewhere in south-east Michigan: the imposing Dode Ram Power Wagon.
Most probably a response to Ford’s  F-150 SVT Raptor, this huge Dodge has  asingle-cab configuration with a short, style-side bed. In these pictures we can see off-road tires and huge arches, which we just love. If the final model features these by default or not is not sure right now. Reported to roar like a tiger when tickled at the pedal, the Ram Power Wagon is likely to hold the highly appreciated 383-horsepower Hemi V8 under the hood.
We can’t wait to see the production version on March 27 at the 44th Annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab,

The American version of Fiat 500 will be produced at Chrysler plant in Toluca. The maximum production capacity of this plant is 130,000 Fiat 500 units per year.
Chrysler plant in Mexico could begin production of the Fiat 500 in the American version, in an attempt to bring Chrysler’s US sales on the right track. Toluca plant will start the assembly of  500 before December and it has the capacity to produce 130,000 units per year. Sergio Marchionne said that this change in production will be made following an investment of $550 million.
Fiat 500 will be sold by Chrysler dealerships in the United States not to create confusion among American consumers and reduce its distribution costs. Sergio Marchionne’s goal is to double Chrysler’s sales in the coming years and to create 12 new models based on Fiat platforms. The head of Fiat-Chrysler alliance wants to pay the US corporate’s debt accumulated over the last year within five years.
