For the first time, General Motors studios across the world have submitted design studies for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette.
Late last year, Ed Welburn, GM’s vice president of global design, invited GM’s 10 styling studios to submit design proposals. There is still no official model that will become the new Corvette from Chevy, but there is one concept that offers a lot of hints: the Corvette Stingray Concept (see photo gallery a bit lower).
“Some were absolutely phenomenal. There is a lot to pick from. The direction that we take is very important, and the decision has not been made. We have challenges in the States with the Corvette, the average age of the customer is really rising.”

said Welburn, GM’s vice president of global design.
The new redesigned Chevrolet Corvette, however it may look, is going out in three or more years, sources from GM state. What

A burnout competition in Yankton, SD turned out to be too much for this third-generation Chevrolet Camaro. Real men just love burning that rubber and making those wheels squeal, but in some cases we all would pick a bad burnout over a real good one. Or at least smile while taking a peek at the photos of such a bummer…
Even better would be the clip of the burnout failure, and that’s just what we included for you all below. A video of the old Camaro explosion burnout! Truly a Carmageddon fans must-see! Also scroll lower for photo gallery of the wreckage that resulted.

The 100,000 Chevrolet Cruze units sold so far, made Obama claim that the compact sedan is “the car of the future”. Cruze is preparing a new assault, this time on the American market.
Launched last year on over 60 global markets, Chevrolet Cruze quickly proved a successful model. The American car maker has announced it has reached the threshold of 100,000 units sold worldwide, which means that the success of the compact sedan begins to take shape easily.
Things seem to go increasingly better for the General Motors subsidiary, as Chevrolet is set to launch the new Cruze and U.S. market in the near future, most likely in the third quarter of this year.
The evolution of the American model has been embraced even by Barack Obama, the US President, who has described the product as “The Car of the Future”. Obama has sealed his statement by signing the hood of Copy Number 100,000.

According to some unofficial information, the first copy of the Chevrolet Volt will come out of the assembly line on November 1.
General Motors postpones Volt’s launch on the market for some time. But, the unofficial sources say that the new Chevrolet model will get out the factory gate in on November 1. The information was taken from a order guide sent to the dealers in the United States.
All who will handle the sale of new hybrid will be forced to place orders until September, and then they will have to announce Chevrolet and tell the number of copies allocated to each dealer. It seems that the first units will hit the roads in California, Michigan and Washington DC.

Date of November 1 corresponds with predictions made by General Motors, which said that first production Volt come out of the assembly line by the year’s end. Until then, there are still counting some delays due to
