Alfa Romeo MiTo debuts with a new diesel engine developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies. The 1.3-liter unit  is the first member of the Multijet II generation and comes with 95 HP and 184 lb-ft.
Fiat has announced the launch of a new generation of diesel engines, named, yes, you’ve guessed… Multijet II. The new diesel technology, developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies, assumed control of quantity of fuel injected into the cylinder, leading to very low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The new system debuts on the Alfa Romeo MiTo 1.3-liter JTDM-2. The Engine delivers a total of 95 HP at 4,000 rpm and a torque of 184 lb-ft starting with 1,500 rpm. Resources are sufficient to propel your hatchback from 0 to 60 mph in 11.6 seconds and allow it to reach a top speed of 112 mph.

Officials say the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be more practical than the old 147, providing a trunk the size of Focus or Golf. In addition, dynamic behavior will be exceptional.
Alfa Romeo aims to bring its fans back into the showrooms with new Giulietta. The compact promises a lot, and wants for itself to have a position somewhere above VW Golf and Opel Astra. Matteo Benedetto, Project Engineer in the development of the new model, says that Giulietta is a car much more practical than its forerunner, 147.
The hatchback borrows the design line so appreciated over time, but comes to thank not only the fans of the brand, but also other brand customers that are moving towards the compact segment. Benedetto Giulietta says Giulietta now offers a trunk comparable in size to that of a Golf or Focus, which makes the Italian model to be a useful one  if you have a family.

What Giulietta brings new is also the handling, the

Here is Alfa Romeo Pandion, a brand new study tagged Bertone, which is a part of the “Holy Trinity” of the concepts presented at Geneva with the occasion of Alfa’s centenary.
The three major Italian design houses, Pininfarina, Bertone and Giugiaro, pay a tribute to Alfa Romeo competing in concepts dedicated to brand that is turning 100. This is the suggestion from Bertone, who, using Alfa Romeo 8C’s plat, have created a sports coupe with 2 +2 seats – including those among two parma rather configured for pygmy.
In terms of design many will say that this concept looks too much like the one recently launched by BMW. But the prototype includes specific Alfa elements, especially the front with that “eagle look” specific to Alfa 159 and seen from above looks as if bearing the Jason Castriota’s stamp, the former chief designer at Bertone, so it can not be explicitly accused of plagiarism. Instead there is

Pininfarina is doing as he said and brings at 2010 Geneva Motor Show an impressive concept: 2uettottanta based, on Alfa Romeo.
At Geneva 2010, Alfa Romeo tries to show us the new lines of design that will address to the next generation (or his replacement) Alfa Romeo 159. For this, the three big Italian design houses Bertone, Pininfarina and Giugiaro will exhibit three concepts that will portray a coupe, a convertible and a four-door sedan.
The guys from Pininfarina go for a classic recipe and hint at the legendary Duetto and this concept model should preceded the future Alfa Spider. The design is inspired by the Spider models built between 1966 and 1993, with very elegant shapes and extended lines. Those models were the last Alfas powered by the appearance of 8C Competizione, and the concept is likely to hang on to this recipe. This platform could however be borrowed from Chrysler, which already has LX,
