Moscow Motor Show will host the world premiere launch of the Audi A7 Sportback. The model fit between the A6 and A8 and comes with a improved dynamics.

Audi will launch the new A7 on August 25, at the Moscow Motor Show. Officially called the A7 Sportback, the new model will represent a compromise between the A6 and A8 and the third will be released in the Audi  ”Sportback”, this name presented in A3 and A5 lines yet.

Why Sportback? One of Audi’s designers, Achim Badstubner explain: “Sportback is a progressive four-door model, but with a dynamic roof line and a large trunk opening, its a hatchback. Everyone knows what is Avant. Sportback is a concept derivative. Do not talk about a niche, but a new concept. Not so much emphasis on interior space in the back seat, but has four doors and a trunk that open wide to give the character of a family car”.

According to preliminary information about the new A7 Sportback, the Audi model will borrow many elements of construction and design from concept called a Sportback, presented at the Auto Show in Detroit in 2009. Among the major changes will be found no glass ceiling in the version number or lights, the spoilers  and side mirrors changed. The model will be about 197 inch in length, a size which recommend as a ideal compromise between those who want the space of A8 and the dynamic of  A6.

Regarding engines, Audi will bet on both diesel and gasoline engine, as well as a hybrid that will be released later. Also later in 2012, will appear the Audi S7 Sport version, which will become the sport of the new model range.
