Porsche Panamera Recall In Australia, Porsche Having Problems
Porsche does not escape from the technical problems that generate recall service. 152 copies of Panamera sold in Australia will benefit of repairs to the safety belt.
Porsche enters the worldwide recall madness, the Australian bureau of the German mark announced this week that it would recall the Panamera sold in 152 copies in this country because of potential safety belt problems.
The fault is targeting the belt clamping mechanism for the front seats, it can be weaken causing a to easy belt separation from the jam when its coupling or decoupling.“The seatbelt mount can become detached from the anchoring system when you fasten or open the seatbelt,”, says the Porsche press release. The problem was detected exclusively in Australia because it is caused by defective parts of a local provider.
The recall – one of the few announced by Porsche in its history – is the first wich affects the four-door model that the German company launched last year worldwide. Obviously, all customers affected will be notified directly by Porsche Australia, repairs to be carried out free.
All Porsche Panamera owners will receive a letter in order to fit an additional locking element which will give a correct position to the seatbelt mount.
