Toyota Could Be Fined For The Second Time In USA
Toyota Motor could be fined for the second time in the United States for failing to inform the authorities about the risk of the throttles that remained blocked at some of its models, Bloomberg transmits, quoted by Mediafax. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced, on 5 April, a record fine of $16.4 million because Toyota did not disclose the acceleration pedal issues.
NHTSA informed the Japanese company, the largest carmaker in the world, that a second fine could be applied in the same case.
The gas pedals supplied by CTS Corp. (Elkhart, Indiana) to he Japanese car builder has two separate defects, which requires two fixes, according to a letter the agency sent to Toyota.

For fixing the issues that can lead to a stuck gas pedal, Toyota made a recall of 2.3 million vehicles in January, current year. Toyota has recalled more than eight million vehicles worldwide to eliminated the problems of the throttle and adjusting the brakes.
Anyway, after things calmed down a little for Toyota, it seems that now a new scandal bursts out, regarding the same problems the Japanese brand had and said it fixed. Even so, voices inside Toyota accused the media that is making too much of a fuss, because even though some accidents happened because of the faulty brakes and throttle, the situation is not as big as everyones said it is.
