The longer wheelbase version of the new Audi A8 will be called, of course, A8L and will have its world premiere at the Beijing Auto Show 2010. Why in China?

Why the world premiere of the Audi A8L version will take place in the Chinese Auto Show? Perhaps because in China there is a real mania for long wheelbase cars – Audi sold there such a version even for the A6 and A4 sedans!

We do not have any official data yet about the size of this version, but if we guide about the “the newer, the bigger” principle, it is expected to exceed the previous generation length, 204.3 inches and the wheelbase is bigger than 120.8 inches. Its main competitors, BMW 7 Series L and Mercedes S-Class L have lengths of 205.1 inches and 205.5 inches respectively, while the wheel base of the big limousines are 126.3 inches and 124.4 inches respectively.
