SAIC Roewe 350 – The First Car With Google Android
SAIC Roewe 350 will be the first car in the world that will use the operating system named Google Android. In China, the prices for this model start from $10,000.
The problems which it has the Google Corporation with the Chinese government, regarding the freedom of speech and the web materials is not reflected in Chinese industry. After Ford announced it will develop in the U.S. models will it have Windows operation system in terms of all media systems car control, SAIC announced that Roewe 350 model will have Google Android operating system.

So, Roewe 350 will become the first car in the world that will provide for their customers that operating system. The model will appear in late April. If you know this name, Roewe brand, this is because it is the brand that became Rover, after SAIC bought the rights to use the technology and the commercial English brand.
According to the Chinese automaker, the model will use Google Android version 2.1, available on the same recently launched cell phone, named Nexus One. This will give opportunity for the driver to access the GPS with Google Maps and use web surfing capabilities of the system when the car is stopped. Very likely, the system gives to owner the opportunity to install applications by Android Market when the system will connect to the Internet via telephone.
It is very interesting that Google has chosen to enter the Android operating system on a car which is not in a premium Chinese line market. Roewe 350 following to cost between 70,000 and 130,000 yuan, between $10,000 and $18,700.
