Audi presents the weapon thy hope to bring the victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Race. Audi R15 has been revised and is ready to fight with the Peugeot rival.

Audi is preparing intensively for the 24 hours race at Le Mans in June. Due to changes in regulation, diesel cars have now smaller diameter restrictors which makes aerodynamics vital. Other changes were made at the cooling system and fuel tanks.

Therefore, the Audi engineers have modified the front of the R15 torpedo. We now have a double “nose” and a new name: Audi R15 plus. The new model already gone through testing programs both in the United States and Europe. Audi will enter the new racing car to start racing at Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps before the great confrontation of Le Mans.

The 5.5-liter turbodiesel engine develops around 600 HP and Audi hopes that it will be enough to beat the rivals from Peugeot. The endurance race at Le Mans will be held on June 12.

As about Formula 1, Audi is not in a hurry to enter the “Big Circus”.
