Earlier today, Ford unveiled its next generation Police Interceptor at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway before a group of police agency fleet buyers.

Based on the Taurus, the car is still different in Ford’s effort to optimize this vehicle for modern police use. But why don’t you just watch Ford president Mark Fields and vehicle line director Scott Tobin explain the process of developing the new cruiser and how it differs from a civilian Taurus! You should be interested, as this is a the 365-horsepower Ecoboost-powered street-wise and rather handsome “sedan”. It also has good economy standards, some 25% more economical than the Crown Vic.
