Hyundai Comes At Geneva With The Iflow Concept And i30 Facelift

Hyundai will launch at the Geneva Auto Show the facelift of the i30 compact and a diesel hybrid concept called iFlow.

Hyundai has released today the first pictures of the iFlow concept, expected to attract all the attention of the public present at the Geneva Motor Show. The star of the stand is a premiere for the Korean automaker, which expose as first diesel-electric hybrid, try to explore a segment that rivals already are preparing to begin.

iFlow is powered by a 1.7-liter turbodiesel engine, coupled to an electric engine, which is kept alive by a set of lithium-ion batteries. The ensemble is completed by a twin-clutch transmission with six reports.

The equation thought by Korean engineers is a winner, considering hat the average mileage is 78.4 mpg and that it has low CO2 emissions. The performances have been possible thanks to the designers who have managed to draw a body with good performance in the aerodynamic tunnel, where it obtained a coefficient of only 0.25.

Also, at Geneva, Hyundai fans will witness a surprise model of the Korean automaker. The compact i30 will receive a number of aesthetic revisions, for to remain competitive on his segment.

The facelift will be called i30U and will involve the introduction of some aesthetic touches; a range of engines with low consumption and improved emission levels, and a little more rich base equipment. The model will go into production starting March and will come with the Triple5 warranty package.
