The First Picture Of The New Porsche Cayenne

The first image of the second Porsche Cayenne generationwas revealed by mistake by the online Porsche configurator two weeks before the Geneva debut.

The new Porsche Cayenne was unveiled on the Porsche configurator before its debut at Geneva Motor Show. The model was quickly surprised by the guys from Carscoop, though Porsche has repaired mistake on the site in the meantime. From what we can see, this model has the same design as the one present in the recent teaser, when it was caught while running on a circuit with the hybrid version of its 911 GT3 R.

Basically, the teaser has confirmed the identity of the model shown by mistake on the Porsche site configurator. Without an “official” confirmation, the German model was only an image digitally processed to the fool the curious Porsche fans, as was the three-door version of Cayman, presented a few months ago on the Internet, although it was just a model carefully edited in Photoshop.

Cayenne’s front is much cleaner, and the air intakes were visibly modified. The general silhouette of the model remained almost unchanged, a sign that the Germans at Porsche are trying to apply the “911 recipe” to the design of Cayenne. On the other hand, techniques which the guys from Porshce have implemented on Cayenne is new and brings a lower fuel consumption, a lower weight and better performance.
