The Citroen fans and Sebastien Loeb will have in 2011 a sport version of the DS3. This will develop 200 HP and will be the rival of Clio RS and Mini Cooper S.
Citroen will launch in 2011 a version 200 HP version of DS3. The first model in the premium segment DS “invented” by Citroen in the same time with the French brand relaunch, in 2009, will have now a sport version that will be a tribute to the performances of Sebastien Loeb in the WRC.
The special version will be called DS3 R3 and will have a revised 1.6-liter turbo engine developed by BMW and PSA Peugeot Citroen. It may push the model from 0 to 60 mph in about 6 seconds, the performance recommending the French model for the segment now dominated by Clio RS and Mini Cooper S.

This information was partially confirmed by the French automaker’s officials, who told pistonheads.com that they seriously analyse the possibility that DS3 range to be completed by an even stronger version.
