The Ferrari F1 Team announced, yesterday, that they will not stand in Michael Schumacher’s way if he decides to leave their side for the Germans from Mercedes GP. It is known that the seven times Formula 1 world champion and adviser of the Scuderia since he ended his driving carer have worked before with Mercedes’ boss, Ross Brown, and this may be a major factor in his decision to join the German Formula one team.

“It’s clear that if he (Schumi) decides to take another road our (consultancy) agreement will no longer be valid, that is logical. You can’t work with a competitor and with us at the same time” stated Luca di Montezemolo, the Ferrari president, for BBC, Mediafax informs.

“I still haven’t spoken to him about it. He is only a dear friend, not a team member. He is a consultant for our road cars,” the Italian official added.
