Removing ice from your windshield
Driving in winter can be daunting, tedious and dangerous. It is important to be cautious and alert when driving in winter conditions. This, of course, also means making sure your car is ready for the road. If you do not remove all the snow from your windshield and windows, will be putting you and your family at risk every time you drive your car in winter. Fortunately, removing ice from your windshield and windows is an easy and takes very little time.
Steps
1. Get ready for winter temperatures and nasty conditions on the road. Equip your home and your car with the elements necessary to remove ice or snow from your vehicle, no matter where you are parked. A strong ice remover is required for any vehicle in a climate that experiences heavy frost. The longer the ice remover, better, to reach across the windshield.
2. Turn the engine of your car. This will help you lose some of the snow and warm inside the car before you enter it. This also means plan ahead before leaving home or workplace. Giving 10 to 15 extra minutes to warm up your car before you leave. If the engine of your car does not warm while defrosting, turn the defroster and lets out a little heat. This will begin to thaw the coldest snow in the background.
3. Try the old method. This means using a remover of ice on your windshield. It takes a bit of effort and extra work, but also help you warm up. If snow is just what you find on your windshield, a broom will be equally or more efficient clean-up. It is worth spending an ice remover in case your windshield will be some ice on it.
4. Make an ice-house solution. This is fairly easy, cheap and portable, so you can save on your car, garage or office. There are two ways you can do with items you can find in your home. The first is made with a vinegar and water solution with a ratio of 3:1, which can be stored in a bottle to spray on your windshield. The other is an alcohol and water solution with a ratio of 2:1, which can also be sprinkled on your windshield. Make sure the water never hot or even warm, as it could break your windshield.
5. Buy a defroster. Although this costs more money than previous methods, if you wish, you can purchase one of these products, which are guaranteed. Rapidly melting ice on the windshield with minimal effort on your part (which nevertheless must scrape some ice remaining).

Do not be impatient driving your car without removing the ice from the windshield and other windows, and you’d be risking yourself and others.
