An auction house sold a customized Porsche 911 Turbo that belonged to David Beckham for $217,100.

The Porsche 911 that was owned by David Beckham was sold in an online auction for $217,100. The model was built in 2008 and received a series of modifications in order to match the Becks’ demands. So, the Porsche 911 was painted in mate black, with black taillights, received a new set of custom-made light alloy wheels and and personalized interior. The headrests the steering wheel and the floor mats had the “23″ logo, the number the British soccer player has at Los Angeles Galaxy.

The customer haven’t bought the supercar from the famous soccer player, as the model was sold via a luxury car dealer. Beckham bought the model with $100,000 and the customization package had a price of about 50,000. But the ones selling the vehicle knew that the a vehicle belonging to Beckham would attract a lot of customers. Of course, the sellers would have got even more money if the supercar was right-wheel drive and sold it in Great Britain, where Becks has a lot of fans.

In US the Porsche 911 Turbo has starting price of $143,800 in the convertible version. So the buyer payed extra $70,000 to have Beckhams car, without considering that we are talking about different generation of 911.
