BlackBerry Dakota Pic And Specs Leaked, RIM Now Means Business
RIM is working on some pretty interesting smartphones like the BlackBerry Curve “Apollo” which has been leaked yesterday. Today it’s time for the BlackBerry Dakota specs and pic to be leaked online and I have to say that I’m impressed!
The BlackBerry Dakota features a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen at 640 x 480 resolution, 5-megapixel camera on the back with image stabilization, flash, and 720p HD video recording, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC support, 3G mobile hotspot support, accelerometer, proximity sensor, magnetometer, microUSB, Blackberry 6.1 OS, 4GB built-in memory, 768MB RAM, and a 10.5mm thickness.
This sounds pretty good and it’s a GSM device with tri-band UMTS and quad-band EDGE, probably meaning that this baby is going to AT&T sometime in the near future. The BlackBerry Dakota release date is unknown at the moment, albeit we should get more information soon.
Meanwhile let me know what do you think about the new BlackBerry smartphones? Will RIM salvage itself after a decline in 2010? That’s what the people want: better hardware. Now they got it so will BlackBerry smartphones recoup its market share?
