New iPhones And iPads Caught Red Handed In iOS 4.3 Code
Earlier we reported that iOS 4.3 is available for download for the developers. iOS 4.3 comes packed with a lot of exciting features like 3rd-party app AirPlay support, redesigned icons, 3G mobile hotspot support for all devices, better multitouch gestures for the iPad, and a new camera shutter sound among others. Well, deep in the iOS 4.3 code, lots of iPhones and iPads have been uncovered.
iPhone 3,1 is the GSM iPhone, iPhone 3,2 is the CDMA iPhone for Verizon, and the unknown iPhone 3,3. This phone might be the Sprint iPhone 4G or T-Mobile iPhone 4G, but you never know.
iPhone 4,1 and iPhone 4,2 are present in the code, however, these versions are probably the next-gen AT&T iPhone and the Verizon iPhone will might be unveiled this summer.
Enough with the iPhone part, let’s turn our attention to the iPad as iPad 2,1 / iPad 2,2 / iPad 2,3 have been found in iOS 4.3. The iPad 2,1 is the GSM iPad for AT&T, the iPad 2,2 is the WiFi-only iPad, while the iPad 2,3 is the CDMA iPad for Verizon (which has been confirmed yesterday).
iOS 4.3 proves that Apple is working and it’s going to release several devices hopefully in 2011. Stay tuned, more details heading our way soon!
