Motorola Trademarks Xoom Term In Mobile Computers Category, Is This The Android Honeycomb Tablet?

Motorola is busy these days and the last thing the company did, was trademarking the name “Xoom.” Where? In continents like Australia, North America, Europe, and some parts of Asia and judging by the latest leaks and teasers, the Motorola Xoom will be an Android 3.0 Honeycomb-powered tablet that will be revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in January next year.

The Xoom trademark is related to the mobile computers category which is another hint that suggests it will be a tablet. In the trademark filling, Motorola didn’t mention any specs, but I guess we have a clear view of what the company will offer.

The Motorola Xoom tablet should feature a 10-inch touchscreen, dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, a couple of cameras, and 32GB of built-in memory. The Motorola Xoom will be the most exciting tablet of the beginning of the year and it could make me change my mind about tablets.
