Raikkonen, Between Monster WRC And NASCAR
Kimi Raikkonen could compete for Monster in WRC and could participate in several NASCAR races in 2011 season, according to Finnish press.
The Kimi Raikkonen’s future in motorsport is still uncertain, but the Finnish press has launched new speculations about possible destinations of Raikkonen.
Thus, Ilta-Sanomat newspaper claims that an American group is interested to sponsor Raikkonen to continue his career in WRC at Monster World Rally Team, which would be paired with stuntman Ken Block.
The cited source claims that the agreement provides the possibility that Kimi Raikkonen to compete in some races in National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). The project’s financing comes predominantly from the United States, and to Raikkonen could offer the chance to fly in some NASCAR races, says the cited source.

On the other hand, the newspaper claims that the negotiations between Raikkonen and Citroen to extend the agreement for 2011 have not been any progress lately. Citroen still has one place for next year, and this is disputed by Kimi Raikkonen and the former world champion Petter Solberg.
