OFFICIAL: Gran Turismo 5 Release Date Is November 24th

Sony Computer Entertainment announced today the release date of Gran Turismo 5 for Europe: Wednesday, November 24, 2010.

“Our objective with GT5 was to create another great revolution which would not only satisfy our own high expectations, but would meet or even exceed the anticipation of the fans,” said Kazunori Yamauchi, Polyphony Digital Inc. President. “When we created the original Gran Turismo back in 1997, we wanted to set a completely new precedent for the racing genre. With the technological leap onto PlayStation 3, our objective with Gran Turismo 5 was to create another great revolution which would not only satisfy our own high expectations, but would meet or even exceed the anticipation of the fans.”

“I can only apologize to everyone for making you wait so long, and I hope that when you try out the wealth of driving experiences available in Gran Turismo 5, you will not be disappointed,” Yamauchi added.

In Gran Turismo 5, the fans will be able to enjoy the most famous tracks in the world, in high definition, looking very much alike the real tracks and will have the chance to drive some of the legendary cars of the motor racing, from past and present. Today the complete car list of the game has over 1,000 models, among them Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, Lexus LFA and McLaren MP4-12C. As well, the circuits list includes famous tracks, like Autumn Ring, Deep Forest Raceway and Grand Valley Speedway, as well famous real tracks, like Nurburgring and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
